A new slant on 'Jesus Christ' |
The Greek name of Jesus Christ, as used in the New Testament, is:
IESOUS CHRISTOS
This anagrams to:
OSIRIS SET CHOUS
CHOUS means "grave"
If you know anything about the Egyptian myth of Osiris and Set you should find this

I knew someone who started a successful cult (and made a LOT of money) by simply
calling himself "Leo 4" (Leo IV - what's that anagram to?)
http://www.emin.org/Background.shtml
He initiated people into his cult by, amongst other techniques, playing Sibelius music to
them for hours.
"sibeliussubeliussibeliussibellius ....... s'obeyleo's'obeyleo's'obeyleo's"
... of course .... the New Testament is FULL of "mind control" tricks, isn't it? That's why
it "works".

Once upon a time in alt.atheism, dear sweet me (here@now.com) made the
light shine upon us with this:
.. of course .... the New Testament is FULL of "mind control" tricks,
isn't it? That's why it "works".
The NT "works" in what way?

Yep, at least "works" in the sense that it suck rubes and dupes in
wholesale.
That is it's primary purpose.

In the same way a lobotomy "works" in causing the mind to cease functioning.

There are a number of flaws in your anagram. _Christos_ is spelled with the letter tau
while _set_ is spelled in Greek with the letter theta (and is pronounced 'seth' in
Greek.) _Iesous_ is spelled with eta while _Set_ uses the letter epsilon. _Osiris_ has
an iota and an upsilon, while there is no upsilon in _Iesous Christos_.
But please, do try again.

Oh dear! I suppose I'll have to rethink all the other anagrams I've found in Mark's
gospel then - especially the one that identifies who wrote it.
... and there's me thinking I'd cracked the riddle of the origin of Christianity! Obviously it
wasn't some smart alec who concocted his own version of the well-known Egyptian
resurrection myth using characters with names that anagram.
