I the UK, ( and I expect it is worse in the USA)
66% ot the cost of the election is born by the taxpayer directly!
30% is payed for by Big Money!
3% is payed for by Party Members!
Unfortunatly, the 66% is just Administation and the like.
The 30%, (equates to £1.00 per UK voter), is controoled by big money!
But because Big Money wants to and does control the UK Gov.
The British people are told, £1.00/per year to buy and control the
propaganda machine is too much.
But the £2.00/year to maintain the electoral registers and pay the conters
on election day is their duty!
To put it bluntly, a vote in Britain cost about £1.00 to buy!
