The Phillip K. ***** novel _A Scanner Darkly_ is slated to be made into
an animated film in the near future. Perhaps they could have saved some
money on graphics and just used footage from the Bush administration.
For those not familiar with the plot, the main character in the film
overdoses on a drug (called substance D) that causes one side of his
brain to not know what the other side is doing. One side, "Fred", is a
cop and the other side, "Bob", is a drug dealer. Fred ends up turning
Bob in without even realizing what he is doing. Gosh, that's eerily
similar to the Bush administration, where Bush talks about "catching"
the plame "leaker", all the while being the person who leaked the
information. Who knows what drugs Chimpy-boy had to take in order to
forget that he was the one who released the information.

"It is fashionable to wax apocalyptic about the
threat to humanity posed by the AIDS virus, 'mad cow'
disease, and many others, but I think a case can be
made that faith is one of the world's great evils,
comparable to the smallpox virus but harder to
eradicate." -- Richard Dawkins
