A strange god. |
God you are a strange one.
Today I saw a Sparrow taken by a Hawk.
Such a contrast, the meek and a designed killer.
Did you really make them both.
Today I see gross injustice enacted by your flock
Can you not control them
I see people forced from their land.
I see massive buildings fall to the ground.
Struck - just like the Sparrow.
But with many people dead.
God you are a strange god.
I see innocents bleeding until dead
the willing under fire, unable to able to tend to their need.
The arm of a 10 year old boy hangs on by a thread
for days he lies there, finally, with his mother, dead.
Jeese, you are a strange God.
I see a great machine confronted by a tiny woman.
No one to turn to, not one soul that she can summon.
I see her home and land around in turmoil, devastated.
Next door another family this evil claw visited.
Stuck, in terror and darkness for days,
their rescuers under fire as they work,
their whole family upstairs, blown away, gone.
You really are a strange one.
This - but a fraction of what is out there.
Peoples' inhumanity to other people.
Immoral - Iniquitous - Inhuman - evil.
Did you really create them
God! you are really, truly, queer.
