A Way Must Be Found |
.... to discredit all religions.
No matter which way the "religious" turn .... everything has been discredited.
They have nothing to believe in.
Then, to satisfy their need for something to believe in, we can devise for them a religion
based upon sanity - get them, in their billions, to worship "something" that cannot be
corrupted into an instrument of control for a "chosen" elite. Something that leads them
to the awaresome (awesome) heights of atheistic sanity.
Yup!
A way must be found .....
"... and no religion too ..."
So - lets get busy and take over the world, eh?
Has anybody got a good plan?

I have several.
But, more seriously, the world starts with you. There is only your
perception of the world.
To change the world, the most efficient way to do that is to change
yourself, or get your accordion fixed. The best place to start changing
yourself depends on your individual circumstance, or what kind of accordion
you have. This is not the same as one-size-fits-all religions. One kind of
accordion doesn't suit every one.

Why?
It's religious imposition that is the problem, particularly by
fundamentalists.
In most of the developed world religion is largely cultural and not
the absolute that it is in the USA.

You need to understand the psychology of religiousness to do that.
Merely pointing out facts won't do it for most theists because
they are self-absorbed, self-gratifying escapists.

Yes.
You have heard of Ancestor worship?
Very common in China - and many indiginous religions.
Well I propose "Descendent Worship".
Think about what this means.
We direct/focus our thoughts and actions to preserving the world and
growing and preserving all knowledge for the future.
What we destroy - we deny to our desendents - so the greatest crime
would be to deny our descendents something of value.
We do everything in our power to give our descendents (starting with
our children but with our eyes on the far future) the ability to
survive and prosper and grow into the far future - to become gods.
In Greg Bears "Eon" there is a bizzare highly advanced race called the
Jarts.
They spread througout the galaxy (and by exploiting a wormhole - other
galxies and other times) to congure the univers for the "Final Mind".
What is the final mind - the being that will exist that descends from
them and their efforts.
We must become the Jart.

I like to sit on my front porch with a cold beer and a smile and
wave to all of the prettied-up Xian's making their way to noon services.

Well I take your point. In other words just turn you back on religion.
It is a fading habit anyway. Resisting it or attacking it will
only give it attention and support it. Ignore it and it will
eventually just fade away and die.

Ummm... I'm afraid it *won't* - as long as its practitioners and their
victims continue to have access to young children and are permitted to carry
out that form of child-abuse known as 'religious instruction'...

That's not the case in the US, where they are busily taking over the
country. Even in the UK, where traditional churches are suffering from
an extreme lack of interest, happy-clappy evangelism is on the rise
and a disturbing number of politicians have strong religious
affiliations. I think we have to keep an eye on the buggers to stop
them getting out of control. It's bad enough that my tax money is
paying for future generations to be brainwashed.

Golf is a religion in itself. If you tee off badly, you go to hell. A
good tee-shot rewards you with heaven. And the golf gods are always
watching, requiring your worship.
