aa - QOTM request from the Quotemeister |
Hi, all!
It's been nearly 2 weeks of frustration for me. My ISP, Earthlink, has
been experiencing some technical troubles with its news servers, and
during that time, I've been unable to track QOTM nominations.
This morning, I find that they turned the news server back on, but I
don't appear to have access to any posts older than yesterday --
Saturday, Dec 16.
I was wondering if all those who have seconded nominations, atheist or
theist, could do me the favor of re-posting their messages from the last
two weeks. I'll do my best to get caught up before the deadline for
posting the ballots.
Cheers!

isn't there some type of search you could do on groups.google to find
them relatively quickly?
http://groups.google.com/advanced_search?q=&
put alt.atheism in for the area to search, set the dates from 1dec2006
to today, search for subject either aqotm or tqotm, and have at it.
seems to return what you want, relatively effortlessly.

I'll look into it. I haven't used Gogle much for a very long time. I
used to like their format, but they changed it and it became virtually
useless, IMO.

you have to do some work to make it usefull, there are some options
that make it eaiser to see what's going on. use the old version, not
beta, and I dont know if it makes a difference or not but I have
javascript disabled when I use it

It's definitely Al Klein. I copied the message from

Google's not easy to search but it can be done
using the Advanced Groups Search option.
I don't see that Nemo should be expected to do
that, though. He already contributes a lot.
