aa - QOTM winners for November 2004 |
Here are the winners for October 2004.
AQOTM: On the Atheist side, we had a runaway winner. With 17 votes,
congratulations go out to Cary Kittrell:
5) ...he types briskly, clicking the plastic keys, using a combination
of electricity and magnetism to move bits about on a disc just as
Maxwell's laws predict, prepatory launching his missive across
impedence-matched copper wiring and optical fibers where it will be
beamed up to a NASA-launched satellite and back down to parabolic
receivers which -- thanks to the fact that these satellites float at the
mathematically- determined altitude such that gravity and "centrifugal
force" cancel each other -- do not need to compensate for Doppler shift,
and thence to tunnel-diode-packed computers everywhere around the
world... all so he can tell us that "science lovers know nothing of the
real world".
By: Cary Kittrell
Nominated: stoney
Seconded: Rune Bfrsjf

TQOTM: Well, there was a tiny danger that duke <spit!> might have won
his final TQOTM contest, but it was not to be. With 10 votes, A.
Christian stomped all over that other person's finest entry this month.
So there. good wins out over evil at least this once. {;-)
1) _I_ believe there are no Magic Invisible Beings - whether pixieish
or otherwise - _AND_ I believe in God.

Seconded: Liz

Cripes! If my stupid news server was halfway good (I got the nominations
post *yesterday*!), I'd have voted for that little masterpiece.
Congrats, Cary!

Gee! I mean, I never... well, I wasn't even going to show up,
and then I got stuck with this HIDEOUS gown, and my dear,
those HORRIBLE papparazi, and...
well, anyhow <snurfle>...
First off, I'd like to thank all the little minds who made
this post necessary.
And then I'd like to go into a long rant about You Know Who,
but after that last time, you know, when Michael Moore like, got
shot with a tranquilizing dart by that guy in the balcony
who was wearing dark shades, and tonight I look up there
and I see, like fifty of those guys or something, I guess
I just better say, you know, "HI MOM!" and get offa here.
But thank you! I love you all!! Even Ann Coulter!!

On Fri 03 Dec 2004 04:49:56p, *nemo* <nemo0037@earthlink.dieSPAM.net> kicked
back with a beer, ruminated at length, fell asleep, woke up, lit up a joint,
then fell asleep again after thoughtfully blurting out:
1) _I_ believe there are no Magic Invisible Beings - whether pixieish
or otherwise - _AND_ I believe in God.
Brilliant :D
