aa - Quote of the Month winners! |
Here are the winners for October 2003.
AQOTM:
10) Think about it. A being capable of flinging hundreds of billions
of galaxies into existence comes to one microbial blue speck in the
cosmos, assumes the form of a human animal in a minor scrubland province
in a primitive age, performs unremarkable tricks which any third rate
magician these days can surpass, and he dies in total obscurity,
unnoticed and unrecorded by any chronicler of the period, leaving behind
only rumors that he was ever here at all--and even the paltry rumors are
indistinguishable from the ordinary and commonplace myths that humans
think up in abundance. Does that really make sense to you? Does that
sound like the modus operandi of an omnipotent god?
By: Kronk
Nominated: stoney
Seconded: towelie
A winner with 13 votes. Congratulations, Kronk!

TQOTM:
10) I get so tired of trying to talk to people that want look at
reality.
By: Randy Story
Nominated: david asman
Seconded: Woden
A runaway winner, this. Maybe it was a typo, but who cares? It was a
gem. Randy's certainly making it to legend status. {;-)

Yep, I didn't vote for him because I thought it was a typo, but on
second thought, Randy might have made himself look like a drooling idiot
accidentally this time, but he's done it deliberately enough times that
it's not like he doesn't deserve the award :)

Congratulations Kronk. You well deserved the victory, even though I voted for
someone else.

Congratulations Randy. I didn't vote for you either, but you have
certainly earned the recognition.
