Object: aa - Winners of the QOTM for July 2006
Here are the winners for the Quote of the Month contest for July 2006.
AQOTM: We have a clear winner thhis month. With 10 votes, the winner is
Chris Fleming. Congratulations
15) For the dogmatic, doubt is something to be terribly ashamed of.
Doubt is the destroyer of faith. Doubt is the greatest evil.
Doubt is what you strip from a soldier when you want him to charge head
first into battle, or fly a plane into a building. A man with doubt
cannot commit such an act. A man with doubt cannot deceive himself to
the degree required.
Certainly you are not called upon to fly planes into buildings. But the
mechanisms are the same. And you are called to believe in the
impossible. Doubt is what disallows you from the self deception. Destroy
your doubt and you can live in a state of illusiory happiness. Destroy
your faith and you will have to find your own way.
By: Chris H Fleming
Nominated: Neil Kelsey
Seconded: Tink
*******
TQOTM: With a landslide victory, Bob Pease got 14 votes to become this
month's champion Theist. Take that as you will...
6) There were plenty of humans living around dinosaurs. The reason the
bones are never found together is that no human would get near enough to
a dinosaur to have their bones found in the same place. Maybe a mutual
suicide pact could produce sush a thing, or the sacrifice of a human
victim to the dinosaur god by pre-Adamites.
By: Bob Pease
Nominated: AZ Nomad
Seconded: Yang, AthD

Well, he is moving to Texas in a few weeks, so I doubt he will have it up and
running until the move is completed.

Well, ok, that's understandable for this month, but it doesn't explain the
continuing problem.

One word, Katrina....or two words Hurricane Katrina. Mark maintains
the site on a server in his house, he lives in the New Orleans area
and it's been temporarily out of commission since then. That, coupled
with some other issues, means that the site won't be available till
after his move.
Or, if you come to the EAC headquarters, it is available on parchment
scrolls printed with puppy blood. Bring your own puppy.

Ah, thank you, I didn't know that.

I'll warm up my black helicopter. Does it have to be a puppy? The
neighbour's dog could do with an abrupt abbreviation of its existence.
