ELLEN JOHNSON TONIGHT ON MSNBC/SCARBOROUGH COUNTRY -- ALL THINGS DA
VINCI AND BIBLICAL...
Ellen Johnson, President of American Atheists will be the guest tonight
on the MSNBC program "Scarborough County" hosted by Joe Scarborough.
Ellen will be discussing the popular interest (and media hype) over the
movie version of Dan Brown's hit novel, "The DaVinci Code" starring Tom
Hanks. How accurate is Brown's book? Should there be a disclaimer in
the film as some religious groups demand?
"If we hold books like "The DaVinci Code" up to close scrutiny,
shouldn't do the same with texts like the Bible and other holy books
associated with mainstream religion?" asks Ms. Johnson.
Johnson argues that "warning labels" and other impediments to free
expression should be resisted.
