a.a. OT - Virus |
I know most of us are being slammed by the email virus. I was
wondering what the deal is with the 1 bytes exe. ? Before it was 107
bytes now it's reduced to 1 bytes. Is it *****?

Instead of worrying about it, Steve, download POPFile.

Sounds like your ISP is stripping the "virus" from your e-mail, leaving
you with an undecodable file that your e-mail software turns into a 1-byte
file.
Since I haven't received a single such message, that's just a guess.

Remove 'spambegone.net' and reverse to send e-mail.

Yahoo DSL has been adding X-YahooFilteredBulk to the headers of all of
the viruses, so it's quite simple to set up a filter to auto-trash 'em.

Today I tried to send an email to a yahoo mail group where I'm a
member.
My ISP could not accept it because its email queues were full.
Maybe they'll do something now - it's obviously hurting them. Or maybe
it isn't, just their customers.

I'm still receiving several per minute. If anything it seems to be
speeding up.
What surprises me is that there has been very little mention in the
media compared with last time.
