ACLU: Councilman's prayer violated law |
The ACLU will stop at nothing in their never ending fight against those who
wish to practice their religious beliefs. The last line of the article only
proves how provocative the ACLU really is.
"The county broke the law. Let's just be honest. You took an oath to uphold
the Constitution," said Deanhardt, dressed in a slogan-covered T-shirt with
an ACLU button and a hat that says, "Hi, I'm your friendly neighborhood
atheist."

ACLU: Councilman's prayer violated law
WALHALLA - The American Civil Liberties Union says an Oconee County
councilman broke the law by ending his prayer during a council meeting by
asking for wisdom, direction and guidance "in the name of Jesus."
The Rev. Bill Rinehart gave plenty of warning he would include the name of
Jesus Christ in his prayer at the council meeting Tuesday and said if other
members didn't let him say his prayer he would resign.
The ACLU sent a letter last month to Oconee County and two other governments
asking them to follow a federal court ruling that bans mentioning Jesus
Christ in public prayers.
After Rinehart's opening prayer, the council breezed through the rest of the
agenda before ACLU member Michael Deanhardt told members during the public
comment period he was disappointed.
"The county broke the law. Let's just be honest. You took an oath to uphold
the Constitution," said Deanhardt, dressed in a slogan-covered T-shirt with
an ACLU button and a hat that says, "Hi, I'm your friendly neighborhood
atheist."

Once again the resident airhead obviously believe that The
Constitution says
what *she* wants it to say. "State Religion" was not allowed. It says
nothing about
prayers on public property. The signers were British and descended
from those who
founded the U.S. They did not want a "Church of England", "Church of
Scotland" etc.
since The Head of the C.of E. was also Head of State. If they had
wanted to bar
Christian prayers in public buildings they would have said so, you
twit.
It has only been the last 50 years when the jews have gained so much
power and control
of the media and indeed the law courts that they have dared to bring
these daft
lawsuits on behalf of some vicious jew parent on behalf of their
children that these
laws have been passed. Well into the 60's school were celebrating
Christmas
and Easter as they had done for over 200 years.
"Oh Mommy, guess what, someone said the word "Christ" in school today
and
another child was collecting to buy the teacher a "Christmas
present" !!!!!!
It just isn't fair to us jews".
"Don't worry Rachel, I'll call the ACLU (jew inc) first thing in the
morning, who the
hell do these Christians think they are"!!

The authorities that exist have been established by God.
Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling
against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring
judgment on themselves." -- Romans 13:1-2

Wow I didn't know you were a Bible scholar! When did
I Sam get moved into the NT? Are you getting this from
The Newly Revised New Revised Version (NRNRV) of "God's"

Nevermind. Just stay on topic. Got it? To refresh your memory
you said the following to your correspondent:
" *You* would support King Herod."
Now *I* have just demonstrated that, contrary to your
above lie, it is faithful "Christians" such as yourself

I suggest that instead of resorting to inept attempts to
move the conversation away from the truth, you try to
be brave and adress the issues. If you can't take the heat
just admit it and take a hike.
I suggest you read about
the time
I have a better idea: stay on topic. It's obvious you are
chagrined by your groups support for Stalin-like dictatorships.
But that doesn't give you people special rights or permission
to change the subject.
that King David murdered a young man because he didn't like the
message he received form him.
So what? "God" murdered Uzzah for merely placing his hand
on the ark to steady it when an ox stumbled. These are *your*
moral absolutes. Not mine. I'm not the one here who hates the
very idea of civil liberities or supports Stalin-like dictatorships.
That would be you people.

Ah, something that your people approve of?
As for Samuel he must have been thinking of The Bolshevik Revolution
Yeah the Bible must have been referring to the "Bolshevik
Revolution." Phew. There is no mistaking a product of the
C of E's educational system, is there? I don't mean just
your comprehensive ignorance of history either. I mean the
fact that you thought this ridiculous, say-anything-to-change
-the-subject ploy: "Samuel he must have been thinking of
The Bolshevik Revolution" was clever.
It would be poetic if your non-existent god granted you an
extra 40 IQ points for a day so you could see what your
idiot ploys look like to normal people.
and the
30 million dead Christians,
Trying to drum up sympathy for your "group" by inventing
a phony holocaust is as bor-ing as it is stupid. But not quite
as stupid as you dragging us along with you just so you
can make a pejorative reference to a Jew:
including The Tsar, his wife and 5
children murded by
the jew Jacovb Kurovsky.
Ohmygod! Jacovb(sic) Kurovsky did this? You mean Jacovb
Kurovsky...the JEW? Well clearly all Jews are terrible people
then.
LOL! Boy, that's some powerful strong "logic" there, Tricksy!
So is this moronic thinking-with-your-glands one of the defining
traits of you xtians?
Rebellion in democracies is not necessary
Your kind of democracy is a lynch mob: there is only
one vote against it.
since the
people can always elect others instead of killing them.
So what is your excuse for the Thirty Years War or the Ti
Ping rebellion (where you Christians killed 10's of millions
of what you refer to as "slitty eyed gooks")? Huh? No
answer, I'll bet. How do you justify your "democracy"
forcing the Chinese to take your tons of opium at gun
point so you could have your little tea parties? Huh?
You like ladling it out to others, don't ya, but you aren't
so good at defending your peoples long history of
dispicible acts, are you?
Go ahead and try. I dare you.

Problem is the religious right doesn't want prayer to be personal. They
want everybody to pray to THEIR god as evident by having these nut cases
coming to my door to preach. When I tell them I am an atheist they tell me
"But Jesus Loves You" to which my reponse is "Honey, the one thing I am

Libs are afraid of any prayer or hint of same in any public forum.
All over the country school children are forbiddent to wear or bring items
of red and green color, santa claus etc. to public school holiday parties or
events as this somehow implies an Observance of a Religious Holiday.

NO one is trying to do so, so long as the prayer is personal and not
sponsored by the government.
Problem is the religious right doesn't want prayer to be personal. They
want everybody to pray to THEIR god as evident by having these nut cases
coming to my door to preach. When I tell them I am an atheist they tell
me "But Jesus Loves You" to which my reponse is "Honey, the one thing I am
absolutely sure of is neither you nor I will be surprised the second
after we die."

Okay, and...?
Libs are afraid of any prayer or hint of same in any public forum.
True patriots are always vigilant to any threat to liberty & the general
welfare, yes.
All over the country school children are forbiddent to wear or bring items

This is a lie, of course, tho' it would be nice if everyone were as honest

1. I don't believe you. Got cites?
2. That's prayer? Sounds like holiday commericalism to me... or
something pagan at least. But you can even say pagan prayers on public
school grounds if you want to.

Since I don't see them complaining about "any prayer or hint
of same in _any_ public forum" but only government
sponsored prayer, you are therefore amusingly minsinformed or
consciously lying. Probably both. In any case we both know
you won't provide evidence defending this ***** accusation. Nope.
It'll never happen. This is so embarrassing to you that you won't
even discuss it, or even discuss why you won't discuss it.
It is your inability to discuss or debate your accusation that
reveals you to be less ethical than the "libs" you falsely accuse.
Even more amusing, you _know_that you are less ethical
and you know that I know it too.

You can pray in government buildings. *Government agents* can't pray

government to promote your religion? And are you so sure that it is
your religion that will get promoted?
