The Teenager's Guide To The Awesome God (The Guide)
The Teenager's Guide To The Awesome God is a document
based on the teachings of the Holy Bible. The Holy
Bible is a collection of books which claim to be the
word of the one and only God. This one and only God
claims to be the sole creator, owner, and sustainer
of all things; He further claims to hold the one and
only key to life eternal: Are these claims true? You
decide. 'The Guide' answers such simple questions as:
* What is the purpose of life?
* What is God's plan for mankind?
* When and how will the world end?
'The Guide' is written in plain and simple language
which should be readily understood by literate teenagers.
Here is an excerpt from 'The Guide':
Freedom And Covenant: Each man is free to do as he
pleases. There is only one circumstance under which
a man's freedoms are restricted: When he chooses to
obtain life eternal as prescribed by the LORD God,
he is obligated to live the remainder of his life in
accordance with the Standard which leads to life: The
Ten Commandments.
The Message: The message of God is simple: "I set
before you life and death. Choose life that you may
live. Life comes through the keeping of the Ten
Commandments. He who keeps the Ten Commandments shall
inherit life eternal; he who refuses to keep the Ten
Commandments earns death eternal: for the wages of
sin is death; and sin is the transgression of the
commandments."
History Lesson: History reveals that every weapon
man has invented, he has subsequently used on himself.
Man currently possesses the technology to destroy all
flesh from off the face of the earth -- and it's only
a matter of time before he uses it. If a Higher
Power does not exist, man's fate is sealed in self-
annihilation; if God does exist, He will intervene in
the affairs of man, and prevent him from destroying
His creation.

Simple Questions; Simple Answers:
Q1: What is God?
A1: God is the creator, owner, and sustainer of all things.
To create is to bring forth something from nothing.
(Man does not create, but merely manipulates that which
has already been created.) God is the author and
originator of all things. All law and order and wisdom
come from God.
Q2: If God made all things, did He also make Satan?
A2: Yes, but not directly. God is perfect, and all things
which issue from God are likewise perfect. God created
the angels perfect and gave them freewill. Lucifer, one
of the angels, used his freewill to rebel against God,
thus earning the titles of the Adversary and Satan.
Q3: Why did God make man?
A3: God desires companions comparable to Himself. God made
man in His image, then said, "It is not good that man
should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable
(equal) to him." [Genesis 2:18] God later describes
Himself as a husband seeking a wife (people) from among
men. This may sound awkward, but you have to think in
terms of the spiritual relationship between a husband
and his wife.
Q4: Why does God desire a "wife"?
A4: God desires love, the love of His people -- just as a
man desires the love of his wife.
Q5: How does one become a "wife" to God?
A5: By keeping His ways. Start with the Ten Commandments:
1. "You shall have no other gods besides Me." God
must be the most significant thing in your life.
Let nothing come between you and God.
2. Do not worship material things. Worship God
alone. (Worship God by keeping His
commandments, which are designed for your
benefit.)
3. Do not take the name of God in vain. If you do,
you will be judged for it. The name of God is
holy, and should be treated with utmost respect.
4. Keep the Sabbath day holy. In it you shall do
no work. (Of every 7 days, work 6 and rest 1.)
Technically, the Sabbath begins at Friday
evening (sunset) and ends at Saturday evening
(sunset); Jesus demonstrated that, for practical
reasons, one may lawfully violate the letter of
Sabbath observance; for example, firefighters,
police officers, medical doctors, etc., may
break the Sabbath law in order to do good,
however, they must still rest one day out of
seven.
5. Honour your father and your mother, that your
days may be long upon the earth. (You honour
your parents by respecting them when you are
young, and by caring for them when they are old
and feeble.)
6. Do not murder.
7. Do not commit adultery. (Adultery is any
sexual relationship outside of marriage;
marriage is between one man and one woman.)
8. Do not steal.
9. Do not bear false witness against your
neighbour. (Bearing false witness perverts
justice.)
10. Do not covet (desire) that which belongs to
someone else. (The desire of someone else's
property is the beginning (seed) of sin.)
Q6: What is the purpose of life?
A6: To acquire knowledge. What knowledge? The knowledge
of good and evil, so that we may choose one over the
other. Goodness leads to life eternal; evil leads to
death eternal. Note that we cannot choose both good
and evil, since they are mutually exclusive.
Q7: Why are we here?
A7: To choose between life and death. Death comes to every
man -- unless he chooses life instead. Man possesses
temporary life, but has the opportunity to obtain life
eternal -- that is, everlasting life. Life eternal
comes through the keeping of the Commandments of God:
"You shall therefore keep My statutes and My
judgements, which if a man does, he shall live by them:
I am the LORD." [Leviticus 18:5]
Q8: What is life?
A8: Life is immortality; to live is to be in eternity;
eternity is heaven; to be in heaven is to be in the
presence of God. Immortality is a gift from God --
it cannot be earned. One proves himself worthy of
immortality by keeping the Commandments of God -- not
grudgingly, but willingly. (Note: For lack of a
better term, "immortality" is used loosely: God alone
is immortal -- having no beginning and no end; man, on
the other hand, has a beginning and, therefore, can
never be "immortal", but he can inherit life eternal,
which is sometimes referred to as "immortality" --
not capable of death.)
Q9: What is heaven?
A9: Heaven is life eternal in the presence of God; heaven
is a kingdom ruled by God. A kingdom is defined by its
laws: When in the kingdom of America, one must abide
by the laws of America; when in the kingdom of China,
one must abide by the laws of China; when in the
kingdom of God, one must abide by every word that
proceeds from the mouth of God. There is one notable
difference between the kingdoms of men and the kingdom
of God: In the kingdom of God, it is impossible to
break the laws of God. Hence, the kingdom of God
(heaven) is the most undesirable place to lawbreakers.
The Ten Commandments is a simple test to determine a
person's worthiness for life in heaven: If you fail to
keep ten simple rules for a short time on the earth,
how will you fare in eternity -- where one must forever
abide by every word which proceeds out of the mouth of
God?
Q10: What is hell?
A10: Hell is death eternal; hell is the Second Death.
(There are two deaths: The First Death, which is the
death of the flesh; and the Second Death, which is the
death of the spirit.) To suffer death eternal is to
be completely out of existence forever; to be
permanently unaware of anything; to be as if one has
never been. That which God has no use for, He casts
into hell. Hell is often viewed as a lake of fire:
If you cast a man into a lake of fire, he is reduced
to ashes; he is no longer a man; he is no longer
alive; he is no longer aware of anything; he has gone
out of existence forever. The lake of fire is
symbolic, not literal. Hell is often confused with
the Day of Judgement -- they are not the same thing.
In the Day of Judgement, one will be judged and
sentenced for his every thought, word, and deed which
he has committed while he was in the flesh. After the
Judgement, then one enters either heaven or hell.
Heaven is life eternal in the presence of God; hell is
death eternal. Contrary to popular belief, hell is
not an everlasting barbecue, or a place of eternal
punishment. The LORD is the God of justice and mercy:
Is it just or merciful to punish someone forever for
committing a few short years of sin? I think not.
Besides, why would God waste His time and energy
maintaining something (hell) for which He has no use?
Q11: What is the path to heaven?
A11: The path to heaven is the Ten Commandments coupled
with the Spirit of Love. The spirit of love is
selfless beneficence. Most people believe that they
will make it into heaven: This, however, is not the
case. "For narrow and hard is the path that leads to
life, and few find it; but broad and smooth is the
path that leads to death, and many go that way."
[Matthew 7:13-14, paraphrased] As you can see,
people tend to have an inflated opinion of their own
goodness; but God judges the heart. What is the
"heart"? The heart is the intent or motive of a
thought, word, or deed. You may intend to do evil
to someone, but it turns out good; likewise you may
intend to do good to someone, but it turns out bad:
Nevertheless, God judges the intent.
Q12: What is the path to hell?
A12: Simple: Do nothing; everyone goes to hell -- unless
we choose heaven instead. How do you choose heaven?
Simple: Ask God for entrance; but remember that no
one comes to the Father except through the Word of
God. In heaven, one must abide by every word that
proceeds from the mouth of God. If you want to get
into heaven, learn the word of God; then decide
whether or not you want to keep the word of God
while on the earth and forever in eternity. If so,
keep the word and ask God for entrance into heaven.
Q13: Why did God give man freewill, and then impede his
freedom by giving him restrictive commandments?
A13: The purpose of the commandments of God is twofold:
Firstly, to prevent man from hurting himself and
others; secondly, to enable man to enjoy the gifts
of God to their fullest extent.
Q14: What is the purpose of the Law of God?
A14: The purpose of the Law of God is to test men -- to
determine who is worthy of life, and who is worthy of
death. Remember that life is heaven, and death is
hell; and that heaven is an eternal kingdom ruled by
God. If a kingdom is to endure forever, it must be
built on infallible law and order: Only a perfect
lawgiver can issue perfect laws -- the foundation of
a perfect kingdom. God alone is perfect. That which
is built on lawlessness and chaos will not endure
forever, but will eventually come to destruction.
Q15: Why does God permit evil?
A15: God permits evil in order to test the hearts of men:
To determine if they are worthy of life or death. The
devil is used by God to test men (see the book of Job
for more information); the devil is nothing more than
an instrument in the hand of God. After the devil has
served his purpose, God will destroy him -- and his
followers.
Q16: What does God expect of man?
A16: Thus says the word of God: "And now, Israel, what
does the LORD your God require of you, but to fear the
LORD your God, to walk in all His ways and to love
Him, to serve the LORD your God with all your heart
and with all your soul, and to keep the commandments
of the LORD and His statutes which I command you today
for your good?" [Deuteronomy 10:12-13] Again, "He
has shown you, O man, what is good; and what does the
LORD require of you but to do justly, to love mercy,
and to walk humbly with your God?" [Micah 6:8]
God made man, and God knows his abilities; God never
asks man to do something without first providing him
with the wherewithal to accomplish it: "God made man
upright, but they have sought out many schemes."
[Ecclesiastes 7:29] Man fails to keep the laws of God
because, when faced with a decision, it is man's first
instinct to take the path of least resistance --
rather than the path of righteousness.
Q17: Why does God have so many "oppressive" rules?
A17: All of God's laws are designed for one purpose: To
prevent you from hurting yourself and others. You
see, God is currently in the process of perfecting
His creation; and a perfect creation requires perfect
laws, both physical and spiritual. Only that which
is perfect will enter into eternity; all other things
will suffer eternal destruction. Unless you agree to
submit to God's perfect laws, you will suffer death
eternal. If anything imperfect enters into eternity,
the creation will once again become corrupt (the
creation previously became corrupt when evil, through
Lucifer's rebellion, entered into it). God has only
one law in heaven: Do no harm nor destruction, which,
incidentally, is the law of love. "They shall not
hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain, for the
earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD as
the waters cover the sea." [Isaiah 11:9]
Q18: Who made God?
A18: No one made God. God is immortal. God has always
been and will always be. God had no beginning and God
has no end. We exist in a fallen creation which is
subject to decay ending in death, and therefore it is
natural for us to think in terms of beginnings and
ends; and it is difficult for us to grasp the immortal
and eternal. Although the universe is currently in a
state of decay, it was initially created perfect and
will eventually be restored to its initial state of
perfection. The current state of decay is nothing
more than a temporary aberration. This temporary
state of decay is designed for the benefit of man --
that man may die and not forever remain in his fallen
state in which his flesh body is subject to pain,
sickness, disease, and physical laws.

The Teenager's Guide To The Awesome God (The Guide)

ROFLMAO! Let's look inside.

The Teenager's Guide To The Awesome God is a document
based on the teachings of the Holy Bible.

Here's a better one.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0060655186/ref=pd_rvi_gw_1/104-2554412-8977526?ie=UTF8

The Holy
Bible is a collection of books which claim to be the
word of the one and only God.

Which alone should be reason enough to discard it as irrelevant to
modern life.

This one and only God
claims to be the sole creator, owner, and sustainer
of all things; He further claims to hold the one and
only key to life eternal: Are these claims true? You
decide.

Plants (which need sunlight to survive) evolved *before* there was
sunlight:
Genesis 1:14-19
Bats are actually birds:
Deuteronomy 14:11-18
Priests are better healers than doctors:
2nd Chronicles 16:10-14
Insects have four legs, not six:
Leviticus 11:21-23
In the "New Testament", it just gets worse. They say an executed
criminal comes back to life.

'The Guide' answers such simple questions as:

* What is the purpose of life?

It's the machine that goes "ping!" of course!
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0085959/

* What is God's plan for mankind?

http://www.24hours7days.com/Bugs/Xtreme_Ants.html

* When and how will the world end?

When the Muslims get the bomb, and they & the fucking Christians start
the pissing contest over who has the bestest, bestest imaginary friend.
Disgusting.

Hey, that's even "readily understood" by the homeskooled!

The Message: The message of God is simple: "I set
before you life and death. Choose life that you may
live. Life comes through the keeping of the Ten
Commandments. He who keeps the Ten Commandments shall
inherit life eternal; he who refuses to keep the Ten
Commandments earns death eternal: for the wages of
sin is death; and sin is the transgression of the
commandments."

History Lesson: History reveals that every weapon
man has invented, he has subsequently used on himself.

Especially while shouting "GAWD IZ GRATE!"

Yeah, just like he did in World War Two.

Q2: If God made all things, did He also make Satan?

Satan doesn't exist either. Now go get me another beer from the

Q3: Why did God make man?

The same reason as Dr. Frank N. Furter did, it would seem by the way he
screws with us.

Q4: Why does God desire a "wife"?

Hmmm..maybe that Protestant moron was right about the Catholics after
all...

Q5: How does one become a "wife" to God?

Spread `dem cheeks, baby! Woo-hoo!

Q6: What is the purpose of life?

Each person creates their own purpose in life. One should strive to
make the best effort at it as they can, since they will not have a
second chance. Oh, and to pass along one's genes to the next
generation. We'll discuss that when you're 18.

Q7: Why are we here?

"Either live, or do not. There is no why."

Q8: What is life?

1) Living things need to take in energy
2) Living things get rid of waste
3) Living things grow and develop
4) Living things respond to their environment
5) Living things reproduce and pass their traits onto their offspring
6) Over time, living things evolve (change slowly) in response to their
environment

Q9: What is heaven?

I'll tell you when you turn 18.

Q12: What is the path to hell?

Take El-Al to Tel Aviv and turn south.

Q13: Why did God give man freewill, and then impede his
freedom by giving him restrictive commandments?

He didn't. "Free Will" is a rationalization created by people who
believe in gods to reconcile the logical contradiction inherant in
their definition of the creatures.

Q14: What is the purpose of the Law of God?

To keep holy men from having to go out and get a *real* job.

Q15: Why does God permit evil?

Uh,...um....ah....We'll have to get back to you on that one...

Q16: What does God expect of man?

Who the ***** knows. Ever read the Vedas? God wants some very weird

Utter *****. First of all, death is very definitely a restriction on
freedom. According to your mythology it is being used to blackmail
people into asserting beliefs for which they have no reasonable or
rational justifications. Secondly, there are no "Ten Commandments".
There are multiple different versions, many with more than ten separate
commandments. Many of those commandments, such as not making graven
images have long ago been laughed out of society by serious individuals.
Many of the remaining commandments are moronic, such has forbidding work
on the sabbath, or requiring that commanding that you not covet your
neighbor's ox. As Bertrand Russell noted, few people today are in any
danger of coveting their neighbor's ox. And there is no indication that
the so-called Ten Commandments are "the Standard which leads to life".
People died both before and after the alleged ten commandments were
known.

Mobster God says, 'Do what I want' or I'll kill/torture you. That is
certainly the 'God' the Jesus people love, worship, adore. And do you know
why? It's because the 'Love God' kills and tortures in a 'loving' way. Now
that's *more* than enough of a reason to kiss his imaginary *****. Isn't it?
No fear. No trepidation on the part of the Jesus people. They absolutely
'love' the creature because they believe they know what would happen to them
if they didn't. Now that's 'true' love. Isn't it?

a man's freedoms are restricted: When he chooses to
obtain life eternal as prescribed by the LORD God,
he is obligated to live the remainder of his life in
accordance with the Standard which leads to life: The
Ten Commandments.

People died both before and after the alleged ten commandments were
known.

The Message: The message of God is simple: "I set
before you life and death.

And death is very much a restriction on freedom. God is literally
saying, do what I demand or I'll kill you. How is that a free choice.
It's not. You lose. Game over.

Choose life that you may
live.

Duh, moron. But your fictional god refuses to deal fairly. Like
Microsoft, he tries to bundle desirable products together with a
bunch of crap, like when he combines "eternal life" with loads of other
extortionistic ***** rules about cutting your ***** and only only
eating certain foods while hopping on one foot and clucking like a
fucking chicken.

Life comes through the keeping of the Ten
Commandments.

*****. Life comes throught a biological process and breakthroughs in
areas like nanotechnology and AI will finally permit humans to achieve
medical immortality. Your mythology is a worthless mind virus which
needs to be eradicated as quickly as possible, to increase the efficiency
of human reasoning.

He who keeps the Ten Commandments shall

inherit life eternal; he who refuses to keep the Ten
Commandments earns death eternal: for the wages of
sin is death; and sin is the transgression of the
commandments."

"I condemn false prophets, I condemn the effort
to take away the power of rational decision, to
drain people of their free will--and a hell of a
lot of money in the bargain. Religions vary in
their degree of idiocy, but I reject them all.
For most people, religion is nothing more than a
substitute for a malfunctioning brain." --Gene Roddenberry
