Afghan Man Faces Execution After Converting to Christianity |
An Afghan man who recently admitted he converted to Christianity faces
the death penalty under the country's strict Islamic legal system. The
trial is a critical test of Afghanistan's new constitution and
democratic government.
The case is attracting widespread attention in Afghanistan, where
local media are closely monitoring the landmark proceedings.
Abdul Rahman, 40, was arrested last month, accused of converting to
Christianity.
Muslim-born Rahman is charged with rejecting Islam.

A goodly proprtion of us have is an instinctive need to club together for
safety
and religion is an escape from clubbing together
under a human leader, as we did back in The Stone Age.
A great number of us rebel at worshipping a human leader llke George W Bush
worshipping an imaginary god is much easier, as that god can be manipulated.

What has religion done in this area, other than spread impossible claims ?
I don't have to know and I don't have to care, since I do not speak
for religion. I only speak for my own personal the spiritual faith in
God.
Religion, gods, devils, spirits, souls, holy ghosts, sin, faith -
- all go hand in hand - you cannot pick and chose.
But wait - perhaps you can if you desire to justify a myth.
There is no myth necessary in the simple spiritual faith in God.

pretty hard to repress religion. How old are you? This used to be common
