Information held in reserve for the modern man for this age! Visual
Agnosia
found in the bible. After I read this for myself and studied up on it
I was
convinced it was all true. My hope for you the peace and happiness
that
resulted from understanding what this all means...
Mark 8:22
22 And he cometh to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man unto him,
and besought him to touch him. 23 And he took the blind man by the
hand,
and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and
put his
hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought. 24 And he looked up,
and
said, I see men as trees, walking. 25 After that he put his hands
again upon
his
eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man
clearly. 26 And he sent him away to his house, saying, Neither go
into the
town, nor tell it to any in the town.
Mark 8:24
The New Living Translation
The New American Bible
The Revised Standard Version
The New Revised Standard Version
24 The man looked around. "Yes," he said, "I see people, but I
can't see them very clearly. They look like trees walking around."
24 Looking up he replied, "I see people looking like trees and
walking."
24 And he looked up and said, "I see men; but they look like
trees, walking."
24 And the man looked up and said, "I can see people, but they
look like trees, walking."
What happened to the man is commonly known today as visual
agnosia... It is a somewhat rare condition which occurs after one has
been
healed from blindness. It takes weeks to months to clear up if left
alone.
Then
something else happened.....
The New Living Translation
The New American Bible
The Revised Standard Version
The New Revised Standard Version
25 Then Jesus placed his hands over the man's eyes again. As
the man stared intently, his sight was completely restored, and he
could see
everything clearly.
25 Then he laid hands on his eyes a second time and he saw
clearly; his sight was restored and he could see everything
distinctly.
25 Then again he laid his hands upon his eyes; and he looked
intently
and was restored, and saw everything clearly.
25 Then Jesus laid his hands on his eyes again; and he looked
intently
and his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly.
Jesus healed the blind man twice once from his blindness and again
from the visual agnosia that remained! This was unknown in that day
as
people
were not healed from blindness as they are today!
Jesus healed a blind man! For me this is proof enough that Jesus Is
GOD!

This could not have happened unless he was. I encourage anyone to
research this and see for themselves.
Jesus Christ died on the cross for all of your sins. Pray now and
accept him as your Lord and Savior.
Not sure you need him?
Jesus is the Lamb that takes away the sin of the world. Accept Gods
FREE gift of salvation.
Give God the glory for making a way for us to go back to him!
Among sinners I am chief... Don't be upset my friend, without a
contrite heart and a true desire to be forgiven we may remain in our
sin
forever...
Something To Think About
Today we over estimate our own righteousness because we
compare ourselves to other humans. But if we were to
compare ourselves to God's moral perfection, we might
grade ourselves a little lower. In order to understand
something about God's standards, take a look at this "sin list"
LACK OF LOVE
Is there anyone against whom you hold a grudge?
Is there any person against whom you are harboring
bitterness, resentment, or jealousy?
Do you quarrel, argue, or engage in heated
discussion?
Are there people whom you deliberately slight or
discount?
Do you have a complaining spirit?
I Are you irritable, cranky, or impatient?
Have you recently been harsh or unkind?
Do you carry hidden anger?
Do you speak unkindly concerning people when they
are not present?
PRIDE
Do you have a critical attitude toward any person,
thing or group?
Are your statements mostly about "I"?
Do you have a stubborn or unreachable spirit?
Do you insist on having your own way?
Are you more concerned about what people will think
than what will be pleasing to God?
IMPURITY
Do you have any personal habits that are not pure?
Do you indulge in any pornography?
Do you allow impure thoughts to stay in your mind?
Are you addicted to anything -food, television,
pleasure, alcohol, drugs, sports, the internet, etc.?
Are you in any way careless with your body?
Is there anything (or anyone) you are jealous of?
Have you recently lied, exaggerated, or embellished
the truth?
SPIRITUAL APATHY AND LAZINESS
Who is at the center of your life you or God?
Is there anything in which you have failed to put God
first?
Do you waste time or procrastinate?
Do you do your work "with all your heart"?
Do you have a thankful heart toward God?
Are you unwilling to obey God fully?
Is you life marked by too much busyness that keeps
you from hearing or responding to God?
Are you honoring God with your finances?
Have you recently extended yourself in any way
toward the poor, the imprisoned, the sick, or the elderly?
Are you getting enough rest, and practicing a day of
rest and worship?
Do you have a heart of love for those you know who are far from God?
Are you filled with anxiety and worry?
Have you been a joyful person lately?

I disagree, Millions are fed by Christians, Millions of lives
are
changed for the better through prison ministries,
I will ask again, As far as the Christian teachings, they are CLEAR
Which
ones do you take issue with?
How about Luke 14:26? How about Numbers 31?
For these difficult to understand passages I refer to The Believers
Bible
Commentary...
14:26 does not hate: The essence of discipleship is giving Christ
first
place. To "hate" one's family and even one's life is rhetorical. It
refers
to desiring something less than something else. This instruction was
especially appropriate in Jesus' day, since a decision for Jesus
could mean
rejection by family and persecution even to the point of death. Those
who
feared family disapproval or persecution would not come to Jesus.

illustrated Bible commentary (Lk 14:26). Nashville: T. Nelson

Just a preemptive statement you don't think that when Jesus said if
your
hand causes you to sin cut it off.... it is better to go without a
hand than
to enter hell whole.
You don't believe he really meant to lop off the body parts or to
pluck out
our eyes, You know very well if we believed that, their would be
alot of
blind Christians!!... I mean after all there are some in the
appalations
that still drink poison and handle snakes....Not that I agree just
making
the point....
and
31:1-11 God commanded Moses to destroy the Midianites for corrupting
His
people through fornication and idolatry at Baal of Peor. Twelve
thousand
Israelites marched against the enemy and they killed all the males.
Phinehas
went to war (v. 6) rather than his father the high priest, possibly
because
Phinehas had been the one to turn away the wrath of Jehovah by
killing Zimri
and the Midianite woman (chap. 25). Now he was to lead the armies of
the
living God to complete the judgment of the Lord on Midian. "All the
males"
(v. 7) refers to all the Midianite soldiers, and not to all the
Midianites
in existence, because in the days of Gideon they again become a
menace to
Israel (Judges 6). Zur (v. 8) was probably the father of Cozbi, the
Midianite woman slain in the camp of Israel (25:15). (Either Balaam
never
made it all the way back to his home or else he had returned to
Midian for
some reason, for he too was killed.)
31:12-18 Though they had killed all the Midianite soldiers, the
children of
Israel spared the women and children and proudly brought them back to
the
camp with a great quantity of spoil. Moses was angry that they would
have
spared the very ones who caused Israel to sin and commanded that the
male
children and every woman who had lain with a man should be slain. The
young
girls were spared, probably for domestic service. This punishment was
righteous and necessary to preserve Israel from further corruption.
31:19-54 The warriors and captives were required to undergo the
customary
seven days of purification (v. 19). Also, the spoil had to be
cleansed,
either by fire or by washing with water (vv. 21-24). The spoil was
divided
among the warriors and the whole congregation (vv. 25-47). The men of
war
were so thankful that not one of their number had perished that they
brought
a large gift to the Lord (vv. 48-54).

*****I suppose that you were upset about the men and women that were
put to
death? Well in my humble opinion everything belongs to God. You
included.
He can do pretty much what he wants. I guess the moral is to be
good and
kind to others, not to be sexually immoral....
The fear of god is an awsome thing.
Disagree all you like, but we just saw examples of this last week
in
the tsunami area.
*****So which Atheist groups are in the tsunami area supplying aid to
the
people? Which groups do you belong to that are supplying same? How
much do
they help in US dollars?
*************That is what Christians DO! That is part of the
definition.
The definition is someone who accepts Jesus as his savior.
"The things of Christ"? One of those things is being an Essene
Jew.
How many Essene Jewish "Christians" do you know?
You're not a Christian, you're a Paulist. Anyone who "follows
Jesus"
would be a Jew.
*** bbb but you just said that anyone who acepts Jesus as his lord
and
savior was a Christian!!
WOW! I think you guys need to get your definitions straight first.
Because
until then, having a meaningful discourse is quite impossible. You
see I
said this already.
So now I'm a paulist.... Is this a person that accecpts paul as his
lord and
savior too? Since we define only by your rules I guess I need to
come to
you so I know what to do to be a paulist...
Situational ethics SUCK Eggs! If I'm going to be pigeon Holed I
would like
a definition that is at least a world standard.
I did not become GOD Just a Christian. Do you hold yourself to
that
standard?
We don't claim a higher moral standard. You (Christianity) do.
*****Why not? I would hate to think we (Christians) are holding you
guys
back or anything! It is quite complementary however that we are your
standard of good Thank You!
Jesus healed the blind man twice once from his blindness and again
from the visual agnosia that remained!

Chris
Another theist looking for validation from atheists. Why do they have
to direct their words towards us when they are really just trying to
convince themselves? Reinforcing denial is an arduous task.
