I've actually done the Dreamweaver tutorial before - But that was a
while ago.
Arachnophilia is a good basic text-to-HTML program. You can take a Word (or
other format) document, save as .RTF (rich text), then throw it to
Arachnophilia, which will do a good job of making it into HTML. Nice thing
is that it's got a color-coding display which helps you keep track of your
HTML tags and those blasted < and >'s.

But what if you're not the least bit artistically inclined? I've done
web page development, and my pages generally look like a character
based interface with slightly prettier fonts. When I've done them at
work, I've usually had somebody design the static layouts.

Learn to write web pages (it's not that difficult if you're the least
bit artistically inclined) and you can have jobs too.
But what if you're not the least bit artistically inclined? I've done
web page development, and my pages generally look like a character
based interface with slightly prettier fonts. When I've done them at
work, I've usually had somebody design the static layouts.
That's why my wife does the design and I do the development.
