Algorithm to Construct a new Religion |
Here's what you need to do:
1. Collect all facts around everything (right now focus on cosmology,
origins of life big bang. Dont pick up genetics, the science guys seem
to have nailed that one)
2. Think up of some more ideas that build on facts from above
3. Build a theory around 1 and 2
4. Make merry till science explains facts around item 2
5. Restart at step 1
Has worked very well so far for
1. Paganists
2. The church
3. Intelligent Design Theorists

Oh dear!
Step 1. is not only redundant, but facts are positively poisonous to
religions.
Get rid of that, and you are onto something.
Replace it with something that adherents can become martyrs for.
