All three show ignorance and "meta-ignorance". First, they are ignorant
fools, they show they are ignorant about depth of their ignorance.
The Dook of Puke gets my vote, not for his ignorance, but the meta-
ignorance he's shown with this quote and everything else he's posted over
the years.

No no, to understand the Duke of Earl makes a mistake,
you must first realize the moon is in an Orbit around the Earth.
And to know what an impact does to Gas,
you have to have felt some wind,
and there is no breeze in Boatwrongs mind.
Robert B is surely the winner.
You don't have to had any Algebra to undstand his collosal mistake.
You do need a brain though.

LOL! A new book has appeared on the shelf of my local Barnes & Noble
bookstore: it is a reprint of Einstein's original paper describing Special
Relativity. It is long, and packed densely with equations using advanced
calculus. I would defy Robert B even to understand the paper, let alone
refute it using high school algebra.
It makes me wonder how many theists think that science is something people
dream up while sitting in a bar drinking beer. They don't seem to
recognize the amount of intellectual sweat that goes into building the
theories that they want to dismiss out of hand because they are
inconvenient to their theistic beliefs.

It started with science experiments in the Uni bar, and from there
many an illustrious science career was built!

And beer helps replace intellectual sweat!

I don't think you need beer. Bible Bob tells us, " A theory is a guess,
speculation, abstract thought, a guess based on some facts; but then facts
are not truth so it is all about theory."
I did not make this up, A.A gets a small fraction of the religious wackos.
Come to think of it, this adds to my TOD (Theory of Duke). He would hardly
be noticed on free.christians, perhaps that's why he has only posted there a
few times and never followed up.

I really like them all and couldn't make a decision until I read the
thread where duke defends his statement with "ball on a string"
fifteen times. Even after he was given simple experiments he could
perform himself that would prove that the moon rotates, he wouldn't
admit that he had made a mistake. Until then, Boatwright was edging
the others out.
I vote for duke.

It's not a favourite. It's clearly the most assinine of the three by
empirical measure, imo.

It was tough but I think of the three that Winn is the winner because Einstein's
work is so profound and here comes "Jethro Clampet" to prove him wrong.
Jethro was a genius compared to Winney.

I'm not aware of him saying anything else about astronomy so this is it.
But here's a gem.
"Medical science itself professes the human body to reflect a "design with
purpose". It consists of a central computer (brain) supported by a fluid
transfer system (blood) forced along by a pump (heart), an energy conversion
system (stomach and intestines), a waste disposal system, an oxygen transfer
system (lungs) that is required to transfer necessary oxygen to the brain
and to the body parts, maintenance organs (spleen, gall bladder, etc), and a
body salinity (same as ocean water) exactly correct as necessary for
transfer of minute electrical signals to/from the brain to operate and
control the body."
(claimed copyright by Duke, probably plagerized)
Again I point out that the blood is not a fluid transfer system. The
circulatory system is the fluid transfer system and blood in the fluid that
is transferred.
The stomach and intestines are not energy conversion units they are exchange
systems. The difference between the two concepts would be known to an
engineer.
The lungs are not an oxygen transfer system, they are a gas exchange
system. The blood does the transfer. If they just exchanged oxygen life
would not exist as we know it. They exchange all gasses, which is an example
of crappy design. They should just exchange CO2 and O2 blocking the rest.
Body salinity varies and in general is not the same as sea water. The
salinity
of blood is 0.9% ,average salinity of the ocean is 3.5% and varies from
ocean to ocean.
"exactly correct" shows a lack of knowledge about transmission of
electricity and the whole phrase seems to ignore the chemical side of such
transmissions, the nervous system and implies a different method of
transmitting information to and from the brain.

on 02 May 2006 in alt.atheism, dear sweet Mike Painter
(mddotpainter@sbcglobal.net) made the light shine upon us with this:

life would not exist as we know it. They exchange all gasses, which

Then it would be impossible to ingest nicotine by smoking. The tobacco
