Ahh yes, I forgot... you aren't supposed to *THINK* when you are
religious. You are supposed to do what your preacher tells you, and
then he does what his boss tells him, who does what his boss who tells
him up the ladder until you've got someone who says he's speaking to

Agreed, seeing the N Koreans goose stepping shows how out of step they are
with the rest of the world.
But so far neither they nor the Chinese have attempted to harm the US because
they are envious, which is another reason for today's problems, in fact the
Chinese generally want to emulate America, not destroy it. Where do the rich
ones send their kids to University? You see plenty of UCA T shirts around!
Asians are workers and understand that you have to get off your butt and do
something if you want to be prosperous. One day China's GDP could pass that
of the USA, some say in 15 years time!
But religion is the cement that binds the 'Middle East terror factions'
together.

I can witness to the fact that as a Christian, Gods wisdom
provides for free will. Moral dictates are at the center and
we as Christians must decide our own course with in the
frame work of the state.
Two points.
First Jesus said " give unto Caesar what is Caesars".
Secondly be good for goodness' sake.

You are quoting as 'gospel' [pardon the pun] what a man called Jesus is
suuposed to have said 2,000 years ago, whereas there is no way in the world of
proving that he said anything of ther sort. You are using a man made book to
control your thoughts when you should be controlling your thoughts yourself.
I might just as well say that a Roman general called Cassius in year 750 told
a corporal to jump into a fast flowing river to rescue the general's dog and
the corporal was executed for refusing to do so! It makes just about as much
sense.

As it goes the advice given "rend unto Caesar
what is Caesars" should be obvious to any
modern man of the past five decades.
Pay your taxes.
Damn good advice on many different levels

perceive as fable you would render it useless.
And sillier still you'd use as your close advice
from 2000 years ago yourself !

Alright you are a fool, let go of your prejedice and realise that faith in
and of itself is simply that. What ever I believe is simply that. I can
believe you to be a fool for spending an inordinate amount of time
reflecting on and ridiculing what you believe may or may not be a threat,
now it's easy to claim that
the devil made me do it but what it comes down to is accepting responcabilty
for one's own actions what ever you might believe. This idea that religion
kills people is just that.
If you murder in the name of your God you are still a murderer. A Muslim
homicide bomber may believe in his heart that this one is for Allah and his
perception of the "faith" but what it is is murder. An atheist who straps on
a bomb because of a percieved wrong is also a killer who just happens to be
an atheist. While I abhour Islam and all it stands for I can not and will
not allow for an abdication of responceabilty on the perp because of a faith
in what ever it is he percieves of as the way and the light. Rabid
fanatisism
in any form is the stuff of fools your a rabid athiest fanatic
and there for in my opimion a fool.

Alright you are a fool, let go of your prejedice and realise that faith in
and of itself is simply that. What ever I believe is simply that. I can
believe you to be a fool for spending an inordinate amount of time
reflecting on and ridiculing what you believe may or may not be a threat,
now it's easy to claim that
the devil made me do it but what it comes down to is accepting

responcabilty

for one's own actions what ever you might believe. This idea that religion
kills people is just that.
If you murder in the name of your God you are still a murderer. A Muslim
homicide bomber may believe in his heart that this one is for Allah and

his

perception of the "faith" but what it is is murder. An atheist who straps

on

a bomb because of a percieved wrong is also a killer who just happens to

be

an atheist. While I abhour Islam and all it stands for I can not and will
not allow for an abdication of responceabilty on the perp because of a

faith

in what ever it is he percieves of as the way and the light. Rabid
fanatisism
in any form is the stuff of fools your a rabid athiest fanatic
and there for in my opimion a fool.

Damn good advice on many different levels

the

mud

hut offerings of Witch Doctors in the African bush. Eventually I got to
realise there was a common thread running through it all. "So many

religions -

they can't all be 'true' - of course, none of them are" QED

I can live with people believing in non existent gods, singing, praying

and

doing whatever is necessary in a dedicated temple or even a mud hut,

provided

they do not bother anyone else, after all it is a free world, or so they

say.

But things are different today - today men kill in the name of their non
existent gods - so it is time to say 'enough is enough'

When you see fine art, do you judge it for content only? Expression is what
is important. Usually no one can define what an artist meant...but relate
more on what an artist felt.
Whatever Jesus was or wasn't, one thing is for sure. The Human Being saw
cause to find his own identity in the ICON, for sake of his nature. Names,
stories...language of any sort...all but content and I doubt even Jesus
would have been so enamoured with us today that we understand just 'words'
and content'. He would be more interesting in us realizing the art itself,
as life as he felt and saw it. The single word God is probably important to
how he saw though. Perhaps we should throw out the Bible except for that
one word...and start anew. Words seem to get in our way these days...and we
fall from own nature IMO.

And IMO such idealization of the supposed golden past represents a
form of false nostagia. If words are impefect now, then they are no
less so then. The art of the 'natural' past was berefit of Da Vinci,
George Gershwin, and all the human geniuses that have accumulated

I'm reading a book right now called 'The Profits of Religion' by
Upton Sinclair. You can find it below. A fascinating critique about
how religion has infected human leadership and life.

Let's gather every bit of religious literature, except anything

to do.
