American Atheists Action Alert
PROTEST FAITH-BASED CHILD ABUSE AT CHRISTIAN SCIENCE CONVENTION
BOSTON, MASS. JUNE 6, 2005
American Atheists supports a planned protest against the Christian
Science policy of faith-based
child abuse during the church's annual meeting in Boston on Monday,
June 6, 2005
Spearheaded by Dr. Seth Asser of CHILD, INC. (Children's Healthcare Is
a Legal Duty), the protest
hopes to draw public attention to "the denial of health care to
children by Christian Scientists and
other religion."
"This is a very serious issue," added Asser in a statement announcing
the demonstration. "What
these religions are practicing is nothing less than human sacrifice."
The demonstration will be held on a public sidewalk in Boston,
Massachusetts Avenue between
Clearway Street and Huntington Avenue. Try to be there by 10:00 AM.
Bring appropriate signs;
