Analysis of the choice
The trouble with religious minds is their obsession with uniformity.
All the married humans should be faithful, all the males should be
faithful to their role as males, all the females the same as females,
all the Christians should be faithful to Christ, and the real truth is
only one, and is the one you know and so on.
So we have observed in animals where is rather common the
homosexuality and the bisexuality. Most of the males in a herd never
would have a chance to mate with females, but they mount sexually one
another. Others males are bisexual. They mount females when in the
season, when they are available, and mount other males when females
are not. About half of the males never mount another male, and so
on.
So this philosophy trying to decide what is "natural" or "unnatural"
seems to me a little farfetched. And it does not make any sense to
pretend that this animals act only for the purposes they were
designed. For all those males of bighorn, all those males of buffalo,
were begotten by the best, hard and stronger males in the herd. Then,
if the behavior of these beasts are fixed by the genes, while all
those males are mounting and anal penetrating other males? Or, should
we be assuming these animals had made a choice? Have we to assume
that they have a freewill and have chosen a sinful lifestyle? Are
these animals going to be burned in Hell for an eternity for their
deprived and ***** lives?
So, if the animals behave as their genes dictate them, this homosexual
behavior is genetic. Even if a thirty or forty percent of the males
do not seem interested in mounting other males.
On the other hand, how can we say that this beast had made a choice?
The females are not available for sex but a few days a year. So, when
these males sexually mount another are they doing this because they
are horny? If they were not horny would they have any need to
copulate at all? And considering those that do not copulate with
other males have we any reason to imagine that they are also real
horny but restrain themselves because they are good Christians and
fearful of the wrath of Jehovah?
How can we say homosexuality is a choice in men? Are females as
easily available for sex as males, so we can have a choice between
both sexes?
What if someone feel revulsion at the idea of having sex with a person
of his own sex? This person cannot have a choice. So he is forced to
wait till he finds a suitable person of his own sex to copulate with.
So, =BFwhat happens in the opposite case? If someone feels revulsion at
the idea of having sex with a person of different gender, can he have
a choice?
Now, just consider the so-called bisexual person. Can we properly
speak of a choice in the case of a bisexual person? Can we really?
Let's imagine a bisexual when he has a very horny day. Can he go to a
bar and choose among different females and males that are eagerly and
ready for a bout of lust copulation? What is easier for a horny male,
to found another male ready to serve his sexual urges, or to find a
female ready for the same?
So, if the answer has not doubt, then this bisexual cannot make a
choice either. There are not available to him the same options to
choose a male or a female for a bout of lust copulation. So the
fundies are liars, obviously.
