Petraeus is testifying. Bush's poodles has a special talent to cherry
pick insignificant events, but they never have seen, wanted to see the
big picture.
An example; They point to, for years, how many Iraqis were trained to be
military or police man. But they never realize or admit, that the
trained Iraqis loyalty is not to Bush or imperial America. They are
loyal to their nation or their tribe, with a few exceptions.
The whole charade is to fool the Americans, no Iraqis believe the lies.
They, the Iraqis know, that Bush and the neocons just want to subjugate
them, rob them from their natural resources.

A reason polls suggest that most people in Bagdad do not want (all of)
the US soldiers to until the city has become more secure.
The same polls tells us that they do no think the increase of troops
did any good.

The normal "loyalty path" for most Iraqis is
family-sect-religion-nation, in that order. Loyalty to Bush comes in
just about after loyalty to an Iraqi's dog's last dump.
It's not that they won't admit it - to the administration, Iraqis are
just people far away who want to be American.
