Many young people when they first become atheists
go through an angry period. They believe that they
have been duped by the religion they were raised
in and by a bunch of people they have trusted - some
for their entire lives. After awhile, most cool off.
They realize that there weren't really misled. The
people who taught them about religion really do
believe in it. So, it is natural for them to want to pass
on these beliefs to their children. Of course, if that
belief is one of the wackier fundamentalist religions,
the anger could last a lot longer. But, even then, a
young atheist grows up and realizes that they have
their own life to lead and a lot of new things to
learn. That learning can be eye-opening, awesome
and a lot of fun. And, finding other atheists is a
big help, too.

Wait until your thoughts mature to the point where you consider
theists to be victims of an illness.
Your anger will retreat, and be replaced with a very cautious pity,
much as you might have with someone who has contracted rabies.
They require treatment, but that does not excuse them from biting
others to pass on their infection.

I've been there a few times...especially after watching Richard
Dawkins, Root of all Evil.

Mr. Dawkins has an admirably balanced view of religion, (and it's
consequences), and is scrupulously careful to distinguish between the
two, reserving pity for the former, and anger against the latter.
Belief versus Behaviour, you see.

Your anger will retreat, and be replaced with a very cautious pity,

That comes once I meet a "higher power" that is not the obvious result of
a lot of wishful thinking by superstitious goat-herders. In fact, humans
have a great deal of power, and the refusal to deal with it intelligently
is the cause of many problems in the world today. If there is a god, I
would expect him to be quite ***** that so many people are so sloppy
in their use of the intellect that he bestowed on us.

I had several stages of questioning Catholic and doubting Catholic.
When I was sixteen, I suddenly realized I didn't believe in any of that
stuff. It really was like Saul on the road to Damascus in reverse. For
many years, I didn't give it much thought at all except when someone
foisted "faith" on me. But as I get older (50's), I find myself
actually hostile to religion. Everywhere you turn, people are making
stupid decisions based on the supernatural, rather than reason and
logic. I think I'm becoming an angry atheist.

Yes! These bozos seem to insist now on screwing up all
they can get their hands on.
It seems to get worse year by year.
If they just sat in the pews and drooled, that would
be one thing. But they insist on things like allowing
us to be lied into a war, or destroying science and

I was never a formal kneeling (drooling) god believer, but through most of
my life I thought there might be something to it. Eventually I gave up on
the idea of afterlife, then after 9-11 I threw the whole monkey off my
back. It still took some doing. I felt like there was like a hill to get
over. It's kind of like accepting death, and there are five stages to
that. Unfortunately, the death you are accepting is your own. Once you
get over that, it feels great, man. Good luck!

Are there like 7 stages of atheism or something? LMAO

Be grateful you are not in the "Crazy Atheist" phase, as many of you
seem to be permanetly set in ("permanently" being defined as the 2
months I have been "studying" you crazy fuckers).

I think I will publish a Crazy Atheist Hall Of Fame; one name that
jumps at me immediately is a certain Christopher Lee; I can picture
this guy being the Christopher Lloyd character in "One Flew Over The
Cuckoo's Nest".

Oh, Taco -- how many times must it be explained that if you mindless,
drooling liars-for-the-lord would SHUT THE ***** UP about your
stick-pinned whiner, and take your boring ad nauseum ***** the ***** out
of ATHEIST newsgroups, you'd never have to see us carving up the
mental poison you so love to incessantly sputter.
We're not fucking interested in your god-beliefs, or anyone else's.
But yet you feel the need to constantly blather about your stupid
fucking deity, endlessly trying to ram your puerile magic pixie
beliefs down our throats in our home newsgroup. Fact is, YOU draw
derision with you pissant preaching crap, so don't condescend to whine
and ***** about the derision you deserve.
***** and die, sputum-breath. We ain't here to pander to your
fucking crap. <spit>

ORIGINAL SIN - LOGICALLY IMPOSSIBLE
(The Short version)
God in Genesis creates Adam and Eve. When
they ate the fruit of the tree of knowledge
of god and evil, original sin is said to
have been created.
Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered
into the world, and death by sin; and so death
passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.
Romans 5:19 For as by one man's disobedience
many were made sinners,...

Paul in Romans, claims god predestines all, the
elect and the damned (Romans 8 and 9). Many
theologians claim that the reason *****
some is that he knows they are perverse due
to the effects of original sin.
Romans 8:30 Moreover whom he did predestinate,
them he also called: and whom he called, them
he also justified: and whom he justified, them
he also glorified.
If so, god at the beginning, being omniscient
would know original sin causes perversity, sin
and damnation.
Since god is defined as all good, and all powerful,
and hates sin, and wants all men saved, (1 Timothy 2)
he would have at that point in Eden, eliminated
original sin because of the evil it will generate
and the mankind it will cause to be damned.
Since god could do that, and does not, all evil
generated by original sin is strictly and only god's
fault, all of it, and knowingly so on god's part.
This doctrine then does not work when god is defined
as all good and omniscient, which these self same
theologians (starting with Paul) have claimed.
This is a fraud, a mere gotchya invented by Paul
to explain why we need christianity, Which
obviously, we don't, since this is based on
an intellectual fraud.
Ignoring the fact an all good and all powerful
god would not have allowed original sin to exist
because it does in fact create evil which a
totally good god hates and will not tolerate.
This is the biggest intellectual fraud of
Christianity, created by Paul. Logically it
is impossible and thus self contradictory.
There is no original sin and there never could
have been.
(End)
