Ann Coulter: On the Seventh Day, God Rested and Liberals Schemed |
ClownHall.com has published an excerpt from Coulter's latest
doorstopper:
-------------------------------------------------------
Liberals love to boast that they are not “religious,” which is what
one would expect to hear from the state-sanctioned religion. Of course
liberalism is a religion. It has its own cosmology, its own miracles,
its own beliefs in the supernatural, its own churches, its own high
priests, its own saints, its own total worldview, and its own
explanation of the existence of the universe. In other words,
liberalism contains all the attributes of what is generally known as
“religion.”
Under the guise of not favoring religion, liberals favor one cosmology
over another and demand total indoctrination into theirs. The state
religion of liberalism demands obeisance (to the National Organization
for Women), tithing (to teachers’ unions), reverence (for abortion),
and formulaic imprecations (“Bush lied, kids died!” “Keep your laws
off my body!” “Arms for hostages!”). Everyone is taxed to support
indoctrination into the state religion through the public schools,
where innocent children are taught a specific belief system, rather
than, say, math.
Liberal doctrines are less scientifically provable than the story of
Noah’s ark, but their belief system is taught as fact in government
schools, while the Biblical belief system is banned from government
schools by law. As a matter of faith, liberals believe: Darwinism is a
fact, people are born gay, child-molesters can be rehabilitated,
recycling is a virtue, and chastity is not. If people are born gay,
why hasn’t Darwinism weeded out people who don’t reproduce? (For that,
we need a theory of survival of the most fabulous.) And if gays can’t
change, why do liberals think child-molesters can? Pedophilia is a
sexual preference. If they’re born that way, instead of
rehabilitation, how about keeping them locked up? Why must children be
taught that recycling is the only answer? Why aren’t we teaching
children “safe littering”?

Well, then, presumably conservatism is a religion, too. Any way of

Jason, thanks for printing this. I've read two of Coulter's books -
both of which gave me indigestion - and I had no intention of every
reading her latest rant. After all, once you know what she hates, well,
hell, she's pretty predictable.
This, though, this is new. Annie's writing has finally devolved to the
prose of a precocious adolescent. This stuff is so awful, so tedious,
and so boring that no one will actually get through the book. The few
prose turds from this pile that have been dropped here and there on the
news appear to be the only memorable vitriol in the entire volume.
Reading this crap is like reading the Unibomber's manifesto, only
worse; it lacks the passion.
Annie is headed south. One day she'll wind up in a cabin in Montana,
old and cragged, on medication, scratching out letters to the editor of
the Helena News, which will be regularly rejected.

This kind of news was mentioned also in Finland local paper here ! All
around here in many papers (I think) because it was transmitted by STT
- The Finnish News Agency (STT),an independent, national news provider
which made small news excerpt about it.
First time here in small local paper I see Ann Coulter mentioned.

Yikes! Is Coulter going off the deep end? Recycling beer cans is now

Maybe some of the more ribald comments here are correct. She sounds
like a reincarnation of those 17th C. Salem sweeties who were prevented
by dowry custom from taking a husband. (For those unfamiliar, see Salem

Perhaps (seriously) some of her weak neuron connections are coming

There has been an ongoing debate over whether Coulter went off the deep
end or into the shallow end and smacked her head on the bottom. Whichever
it was, it seems to have happened a long time ago. Where have you been?

There's a old Soviet joke that goes something like this:
Ivan asks, "Comrade Boris, how was the potato harvest this year?"
Boris replies "Comrade Ivan, the potatoes are piled up to the very
Throne of God!"
"Excellent!" Ivan replies. "But Comrade Boris, there isn't any God!"
"There aren't any potatoes either," replies Boris.
