The viewer lost, however! I was seriously disappointed in the show.
Carlin's stand-up was more of the same, otherwise it was standard fare.
He said barely a word to Coulter and nothing about her. Leno was a
major *****. Coulter said nothing of import (as usual!). It sounded
like the audience was packed with Coulter clones. I should have curled
up in bed with a good book (not *the* good book) instead! Pah!

Are you sure? My husband said they ran a clip of a few of Carlin's
remarks on the radio that were pretty pointed.
The radio?! I was talking about his appearance on "The Tonight Show".
He was a kitten there. I much preferred Al Franken's taking-down of
Coulter in his Book "Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them". He
wasn't addressing her latest book, but I'm sure that the gist of his
comments apply as well to it as they do to the book he was addressing!
