Another Christian Republican child rapist |

A Douglas pastor has been arrested in the reputed molestation of a
6-year-old Florida boy in 1996 and admitted to sexually abusing
children in North Carolina and Michigan, authorities said Tuesday.
Robert Armand Enerson, 54, was booked into Cochise County Jail on
Monday night on three charges of lewd assault on a child, said Lt.
Carlos Guido Jr., a Douglas Police Department spokesman. Enerson, a
pastor at the First Assembly of God in Douglas for two years, will be
jailed pending extradition to Polk County, Fla., authorities said.
"Obviously we're continuing the investigation to see if there are
additional victims," Guido said.
An affidavit prepared by Polk County investigators alleges that Enerson
molested a boy repeatedly for about a week while serving as a pastor at
the New Life Assembly of God in Wahneta, Fla., in 1996. The accuser,
now 15, said Enerson entered a bedroom where the boy was playing video
games and stroked the child's penis, according to the affidavit.
In an interview with investigators in Douglas, Enerson reportedly said
he had touched the boy's penis on at least two occasions, although
possibly more, and had the boy touch him, according to the affidavit.
Enerson also told detectives the child was hiding under the bed at one
point and he pulled him out to touch his penis, the affidavit states.
The boy told investigators he was intimidated by the size of the burly
pastor, who weighs about 250 pounds, according to records.
In the affidavit, Enerson also was accused of having "oral relations"
and masturbating a boy over a span of seven years, from age 10 to 17,
in North Carolina. Enerson also reportedly told detectives he rubbed a
Michigan boy's penis an unknown number of times, according to the
report.
The church did not return phone messages.

The issue is actually one of the mindset of people who gravitate toward
Christian clergy. The "do it for money or personal gain" mentality of
Republicanism fits in perfectly well with the Authoritarian ideologies
of the Christian priesthood. Pedophiles gravitate to the Christian
clergy for the same reason that Christian clergy is so heavy Republican.

making some pretty hefty personal sacrifices to do so.
Most are not going to get wealthy, they will give up time with their
families by being on call to help any of their congregation at a
moments notice and by making hospital visits.
Most also will not have a large church and will survive on wateever
wages the church provides and usually live with their families in
small homes also provided by the church.
Many will choose to be missionaries and live under conditions in third
world countries most of us would not tolerate.
I don't really think most are in it for personal gain.
Pedophiles gravitate to the Christian
clergy for the same reason that Christian clergy is so heavy Republican.
I don't think so.
Pedophiles will seek opportunities in positions where they will have
access to children and some of course do become youth ministers.
And when they violate a child it's big news but I don't know if there
are more sexual freaks there than in the general population and am not
familiar with any research that addresses the matter.

These people have repeatedly stated that it is all but inpossible to be
both a Christian and a Democrat...and the Religous Right is taking
"credit" for putting Bush in office in 2000, and "giving" him his second
term.
So it stands to reason that a Pastor in the AG is a Republican.

and/or the Religious Right.
Most, if not all of my family are Assemblies of God and most are
democrats.
FDR is second only to God in their minds.
These people have repeatedly stated that it is all but inpossible to be
both a Christian and a Democrat...and the Religous Right is taking
"credit" for putting Bush in office in 2000, and "giving" him his second
term.
So it stands to reason that a Pastor in the AG is a Republican.

Odd that, I have never in my life met a AG'er that was a Democrat..
I don't know how many you have met, under what circumstances or what
sorts of discussions you have had with them regarding politics but I
grew up with them and think maybe they lean toward democrats on social
welfare issues and republicans on "morality" issues.
And like most Americans they will most likely vote their pocket books
every time.

I don't doubt that some do.
But then many democrats without religious affliation claim it is
impossible to be both a moral person and a republican.
That's an equally narrow minded and shallow view of reality.

The "Religous Right" is the Satan of the left.
Everything evil is attributed to them.
Not all people on the "Religous Right" are wrong about everything but
once those on the left have established the fact that they are indeed
Satan it becomes a sin to so much as listen to them or consider
anything they say to have anything but evil intent.
It effectively shuts down debate by shutting out opposing opinions.
Of course it works in the other direction as well.

that so many of my good and decent republican friends are immoral and

Republicans are not demons.
There are differences in opinion between the parties as to how things
should be dealt with and that is a healthy thing for a democratic
republic, but neither side is in service of the Devil.
Liberals in both parties have some good ideas and conservatives in
both parties do as well.
Neither republicans nor democrats on the whole believe it is ok to
molest children and it's just mean spirited and cruel to suggest such
a thing.
