Another Conservative Jumping Off of Bush's Sinking Ship Part XVIII (re: Why Are NeoCons so Incompetent?) |
"In 'Four Trials', John Edwards has written movingly of people who
were terribly wronged, and whom he helped seek some measure of justice
with great skill, determination, and genuine compassion. He shows a
perceptive appreciation in these accounts for the strength of his
clinets' character. And in the loving portrait of his son, Wade, and
the deeply touching account of his losss, John reveals the strength of
his own chracter and gives the reader a look beyond a political
biography into the heart of a good man."

Amazing how these right-wing morons are always against Democrats
having money and always in favor of Republicans having money.
yes...this is election campaign is so amusing: particularly this
business of kerry being rich. oh no!! but what do you call bush and
cheney besides criminals? RICH criminals?
Kerry being rich isn't really the point, is it? Kerry doesn't endorse
policies that help only the rich. Get it?
Yeah, he endorses policies that help the working class that he knows
so much about. LOL
You have limited abilities so you assume other do, too.

Why do NeoCons hate little girls so much?
The defining case in Edwards' legal career wrapped up that same year.
In 1993, a five-year-old girl named Valerie Lakey had been playing in
a Wake County, N.C., wading pool when she became caught in an
uncovered drain so forcefully that the suction pulled out most of her
intestines. She survived but for the rest of her life will need to be
hooked up to feeding tubes for 12 hours each night.
Edwards filed suit on the Lakeys' behalf against Sta-Rite Industries,
the Wisconsin corporation that manufactured the drain. Attorneys
describe his handling of the case as a virtuoso example of a trial
layer bringing a negligent corporation to heel. Sta-Rite offered the
Lakeys $100,000 to settle the case. Edwards passed. Before trial, he
discovered that 12 other children had suffered similar injuries from
Sta-Rite drains.
The company raised its offer to $1.25 million. Two weeks into the
trial, they upped the figure to $8.5 million. Edwards declined the
offer and asked for their insurance policy limit of $22.5 million. The
day before the trial resumed from Christmas break, Sta-Rite countered
with $17.5 million. Again, Edwards said no.
On January 10, 1997, lawyers from across the state packed the
courtroom to hear Edwards' closing argument, "the most impressive
legal performance I have ever seen," recalls Dayton. Three days later,
the jury found Sta-Rite guilty and liable for $25 million in economic
damages (by state law, punitive damages could have tripled that
amount). The company immediately settled for $25 million, the largest
verdict in state history. For their part, Edwards and Kirby earned the
Association of Trial Lawyers of America's national award for public
service.

How does the cost of that little girl's medical care, pain and

limit? Nothing!
Why is Edwards only interested in the insurance policy limit? Because
he hates little girls and loves the money.

I'm not a big fan of cults, particularly when the leader of this country
mine isn't pulling the world together as well as it should be. Being
Christian etc. does not mean being right minded. It doesn't instantly
confer a bankwad of money automatically to the voter. It usually does
the exact opposite.

Hannity doesn't debate. His mind is made up and he pukes out his line of
*****. In an argument, which is much different than a debate, when he begins
to fall behind, he starts that incessant chirping of his as he tries to talk
over whomever is kicking his ***** at the moment. By not hearing their side,
he looks like he knows what he's talking about. It's an old ploy that's used
by his ilk but strangely enough, not even ethical on a high school debate

an ***** who lies, repeatedly. When he gets caught at lying, he lies
again.
If Bill Clinton discovered a cure for cancer, Hannity would ***** about

Franken's book, "Lies and the lying liars who tell them." He crucifies
Hannity and his little dog, Colmes, and does the same with Ann Coulter
(one chapter is called "Ann Coulter, Nut Case"), and Bill O'Reiley.
And all of it is well documented.

O.k., I have "heard" him. Better?
I have even listened to Rush tell a liberal he was right on an issue and
he
apologized.
What issue was that?
The issue was his comment on liberals hating the military. A liberal had
called in to his show and it was late in the afternoon. He was jumping on
Rush for stereotpying. Rush had to go, his time was up. But he made it a
point on his next show the following day to call this person back and
allowed him the time to explain his position. Rush did apologize to him and
conceded that he was right and he was wrong for generalizing.
You can hate Rush, you can love Rush...but you can not deny Rush for the
impact he has had.
If there is one thing positive I can say about Rush that no one can say
about any other person; it is the fact that he has gotten more people in
this country involved in paying closer attention to what politicians say and
do.
Both parties have faults, and they both have liars. Both have cons too.
Neither party is clean nor any better than the other. It is up to us, as
voters to vote. And Rush Limbaugh has gotten more people involved, whether
they hate him or not..they are listening. That is what is important.
Sorry about your luck, but you are just flat out wrong.
I listen to Rush and Hannity fairly often. They are completely

No more so than I have heard some liberals. They are just as intolerant in
my opinion.
Door swings both ways.
I am not going to disagree, both are highly opiniated and compassionate
about their view points.
You can spin
