Another Example of Duke's Fundamental Stupidity |
On Jan 31st 2004, I posted a message in a.a. about a petition to save
the Hubble telescope. Duck & Run's idiotic, blind, knee-jerk response
was:
"Ok, you foot the bill to keep looking at the same "sky" that's
already been looked at. "
http://tinyurl.com/2swqgk
What underlies his stupidity is his blind addiction to the Bible
(until that's proven wrong of course, in which case he runs and hides
behind antiquated Bible commentary).
You see, no matter what he says, deep in his mind is a quite literal
interpretation of the Bible. If the Bible says there was a global
flood, he has to create one, no matter how many lies he has to tell
to try and fit it into the very science which precludes it.
And deep down he truly does believe that the sky really is a solid
dome which holds back water over a flat Earth. This is why he's so
convinced that it never changes.
He doesn't have the first inkling of how truly deep and massive space
is - at least 156 billion light years across:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/3753115.stm
with music (my favorite reference, ending in 666!):
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/1304666.stm
Containing its own evidence of the so-called "Big Bang":
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/2271377.stm
He thinks the sky is pretty much the same every day and he pays almost
no attention to it. He has no fascination with it, despite the fact
that he believes it is the handiwork of a god and purportedly displays
the glory of this god.
How ironical! The atheists are far more engrossed by the majesty of
space than are the believers! LoL!
Duck & Run just doesn't really grasp that space is mostly empty, and
that of the precious matter and energy out there, the bulk of it is
not directly detectable by any science we have developed so far.
Hubble mapped it, however:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/6235751.stm
Maybe Duck & Run believes that this dark energy/matter is some god!
Hubble spent five days looking at the faintest stars - stars we'd
never seen before int hat same sky:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/5260008.stm
But the fact is that it isn't the same old sky that's already been
looked at. It's changing every day. 163,000 years ago, it changed
dramatically in one location. In February 1987, we just got the news
on earth: Supernova 1987A lit the sky.
The May 2007 edition of _Discover_ magazine has a feature on what
Hubble is *still* telling us about the ever-changing sky in the region
of 1987A
Here's a list of some of the other news Hubble has given to us about
that "same old sky" in the last few years:
It pictured a planet circling a star other than the Sun:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/3707185.stm
It pictured the break-up of a comet:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/4953780.stm
It determined the mass of a white dwarf:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/4528586.stm
It made a new map of Pluto:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/4230918.stm
It found the most distant object at the time:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/3490657.stm
It first demonstrated cosmic acceleration:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/3728341.stm
It reveled that we've underestimate the frequency of black holes:
http://tinyurl.com/2ltgpv
It saw galaxies we'd never seen before in that same sky:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/3773117.stm
It saw the "pillars of creation" and their doom:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/6246333.stm
In short, as if we didn't know it already, Duck & Run is an ignorant,
knee-jerk, blind faith-addicted moron.

Hey, duke! You failed to address the main body of my 'message'. Having a
problem seeing that the 'God' you worship and adore is an out-and-out
mass-murderer (if you want to stick to a 'literal' interpretation of the
account of Noah's Flood)?
Duke! What in the hell is wrong with you? You actually worship and adore a
deity that goes around murdering babies on a global scale? Are you all
there, duke?

Genesis 6:5-8 (New International Version)
5 The LORD saw how great man's wickedness on the earth had become, and that
every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the time. 6 The
LORD was grieved that he had made man on the earth, and his heart was filled
with pain. 7 So the LORD said, "I will wipe mankind, whom I have created, from
the face of the earth—men and animals, and creatures that move along the ground,
and birds of the air—for I am grieved that I have made them." 8 But Noah found
favor in the eyes of the LORD.
Is God smiling at you?

Only if non-existent, make-believe, imagined 'Gods' can 'smile'.
I notice that your imaginary 'God' pulled out a hankie and wiped his
imaginary schnozzz with it (using a little 'artistic license' here) because
of his grief for being less than perfect in creating the imperfect creatures
that he knew -- even before creating them -- that they would turn out that
way. What's wrong with the 'Father' of Infanticide, Genocide and
Mass-Murder? Did he lose his 'mind' somewhere along the cosmic way?

happened then. What is your position.

Fighting to Save Hubble Telescope From Fiery Death
December 30, 2003
All good things must come to an end.
Scientists are divided over the fate of the Hubble Space Telescope, with some
supporters criticizing plans to bring the telescope out of orbit while it's
still working.
The lifespan of the Hubble telescope, which is almost unanimously celebrated by
astronomers as an unparalleled success, has already been extended twice.
The NASA plan calls for a Hubble servicing mission in 2006, possibly followed by
another one a few years later, that could keep the Hubble in space far beyond
even the launch of the new James Webb Space Telescope in 2011.

This one is from just yesterday:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/6657271.stm
"Astronomers have found one of the best pieces of evidence for the
existence of dark matter, a mysterious quantity that pervades our
Universe. They have identified what appears to be a ghostly ring in
the sky which is made up of this enigmatic substance. Using the
Hubble Space Telescope, the scientists have established that the ring
formed long ago after a colossal smash-up between two galaxy
clusters."
So over three years ago, Dumbshit Duke says the Hubble is a waste of
time because it's the same sky we already saw, and just yesterday, the
Hubble pulls in another huge image.
Even the BBC is now demonstrating what a short-sighted, ignorant, dumb-
as-a-brick Dimwit Puke is! LoL!

Yet scientists had themselves downplayed the continued usefulness of the hubble
versus cost to maintain it in space and it's value to new discoveries. Each and
everyone is a blessing, but very expensive to come by.
I realize this is all over your collective brain, bubba dud, but live with it.
You see, when it comes to hubble, I'm not in a position to judge it's value.
More learned others clearly are. That leaves you and me in a dead heat.
