stopped and thought of that man -- if the word really suffices to
describe him...! -- that unique and special man from so long ago
whose uniqueness and specialness led that little group of ordinary
people to just abandon their previous lives and values and *follow
him*, hanging on to his every word and doing whatever he said - not
because he had an army, but because of who and what he was. And as I
thought about him, and about what he did, I found that *I gradually
started to see his face* -- his actual *face*! -- in the picture.
Until at last it was *complete* and *completely convincing*: I
*really was* looking at the face of ... *Charles Manson*...

Obviously not a miracle.

It is an excellent illustration of the way theists count the hits and

Foolish people will always see what they want to see and believe what
they want to believe. Of course they would never consider why the son
of a god would want to reveal himself in a sloppy paint job in a run
down old house in Detroit anyway.

I used the above picture in one of my stories, and two different
people have told me they se the devil in it, huffing and puffing and
blowing fire from his mouth.

They say that right above the 18, they can see the mouth of Satan
spewing out fire and whisps of smoke, and in the center top, where the
small dark area is, they say they see the eye of Satan. And
underneath the 18 is Satan's chin!

The only thing missing is Satan's nose! :)
