One day in alt.atheism, Also Sprach Alvin:
Are we men or machines? If you believe the atheism way of thinking,
we are all machines. Your loving wife or husband is nothing but a
construct of brain cells, and nerve receptors randomly created
through
the eons of time designed to deliver signals to the brain.
Emotions,
music, art, and talents are all just a matter of DNA constructs and
brain chemicals.
Yet, atheists purposely ignore this perspective. Like most sane
people, they see their family and friends as real people with unique
personalities. So where does personality come from? So where the
unique being come from that does makes you different from every other
human on the planet? If someone is alive, they are a person, but if
they die, they are referred to as "the body". Yet, if you believe
that there is no spirit, we are just bodies, living or dead.
The truth is that we do have a spirit, and the spirit is what makes
you an unique person, and your sense of morality and consciousness.
The body is just a shell of a man.
Consciousness, ego, emotions and personality are a result of electro-
chemical reactions in the brain. I can't believe there are still
people
alive that believe in spirits.
i believe in spirits! glen salen pure malt scotch! woohoo!
Ah yes! Spirits that really exist, and have an effect on your brain,
casting a shadow of doubt upon the asserted function of a soul. On that
note, BEER ME!
If I may be so bold as to ask, of what relevance is this to Creationism?

You think beer just grows? It needs a creator.

"Christians, it is needless to say, utterly detest each other. They slander each
other constantly with the vilest forms of abuse and cannot come to any sort of
agreement in their teachings. Each sect brands its own, fills the head of its own
with deceitful nonsense, and makes perfect little pigs of those it wins over to its
side."

Indeed, everyone knows that Christians have always gotten along with
each other. Each sect has always been very tolerant and understanding
of all other sects and even of those who are not Christian at all
especially the Jews. I just don't know where people get the idea that
it was any other way.
