Another reason to stop trying to "stamp out" drugs |
A new report has just been published, showing that terrorists are moving
into crime to finance their operations. Drug dealing is one of the
criminal activities they use. Given that people will always have an
appetite for drugs, and that trying to incarcerate everyone who deals or
uses them only makes them more dangerous and expensive, doesn't it seem
reasonable to legalize and regulate them, so the terrorists can't use them
as a source of income?

That kind of thinking is not politically correct. The correct way to think
about this is to recognize that drug consumers (except for those who consume
alcohol, oxycontin, and other State condoned drugs) are themselves financing
the terrorists through their willful intemperance.
Therefore, the politically correct response is not less regulation, not
fewer laws, but more laws, more enforcement, more incarceration. At the same
time, we must develop mind controlling drugs, drugs which will block the
effects of the illegal drugs so that even if people want to take illegal
drugs, they will not be able to feel their effects. And we must also allow
further indoctrination from an early age with the expansion of the "Under
God" concept in the Pledge of allegiance to include explicit references to
Jesus and to include the phrase "Free from illegal drugs which are Evil"
into the Pledge.
Should you continue to think incorrectly, you will be required to attend one
of the many Education Centers springing up across the nation. Of course,
your account will be debited for the cost of your education. For your
convenience, if your account is not adequate to pay, monthly payments will
be automatically debited from your paycheck, and also if necessary from
those of your next of kin. Thank you for your cooperation.

Can you picture this administration without terrorists to keep the
sheep in line?
No, nothing will be done.

The so-called "Drug War" was an abject failure long before terrorists
stuck their fingers in the pie, for the very reason you state. Some
(maybe even most) people *like* to get high once in a while, and
absolutely nothing is going to stop that.
Time for the government to admit defeat.
