A large Delaware school district promoted Christianity so aggressively
that a Jewish family felt it necessary to move to Wilmington, two
hours away, because they feared retaliation for filing a lawsuit. The
complaint recounts a raucous crowd that applauded the board’s opening
prayer and then, when sixth-grader Alexander Dobrich stood up to read
a statement, yelled at him "take your yarmulke off!" His statement,
read by Samantha, confided "I feel bad when kids in my class call me
Jew boy."

That sounds nasty, but all we have is you making a claim, and
using a rabid "liberal" site to back it up. There's no proof that the
kid was called "Jew boy", although I don't doubt he was (kids don't
lie often, or well), but I think you're just using this as a slight
against people who are not anti-Jewish or anti any ethnicity in
general. Where was the death threat, and what was the lawsuit filed
over?

1. There appears to be two lawsuits
Lawsuit 1 with two families:
a. The Dobrichs; Moved out of the school district before the web
site published their information (probably their current info). Jewish
b. The Does. Anonymous to the public. Still in the school district.
Religion unknown.
Lawsuit 2: It also appears that the school district's insurance
company does not want to pay for further legal expenses in this case
because the school board rejected a settlement earlier this year

3. The complaint makes interesting reading and if accurate is highly
worrisome.
The invocation offered at the Dobrich's daughter's graduation ended:
"I also pray for one specific student, that You be with her and
guide her in the path that You have for her. And we ask all these
things in Jesus' name."
The daughter was apparently the only known non-Christian graduating
though the pastor might have been thinking of another student.
Apparently a former school board member told the Dobriks at a school
board meeting that Mona Dobrovik might disappear like Madalyn Murray
O'Hair.

Clutching homemade signs urging board members to "stand strong
for God country" and "put prayer back in school," the crowd
belted out "God Bless America" and various religious hymns.
Bennett said his faith in God, which he discovered through prayer
and bible readings in school, helped him distinguish right from
wrong. On Monday night he questioned how a lack of prayer would
affect today's generation.
"If these kids are taught evolution -- that they came from apes
-- and they're not given the basis of faith, what's to stop them
from acting like animals?" he said.
