Well thank you kindly partner. I found the articles intellectually
stimulating and informative. (I especially appreciated the article:
"Spiritual Gifts - the power of God in action." It was absolutely
"religious.". (I could hardly put it down.) Now that I've perused some of
*your* literary suggestions. May I suggest you read some provocative
articles *I* find comforting and "uplifting"? Well actually, not articles
per se. It is a book. It was written by one of our founding fathers. It's
Thomas Paine's "The Age of Reason." (written in 1802) You may find it both
informative and spiritually rewarding. And guess what? It's all about the
bible.

I see a Christian talking about "truth". Christians do not know the meaning
of the word truth ... Christians deal with folklore, myth, illogical stories
from a 1500 year old book which has undergone masses of translation and the
belief in a dead man (JC) who nobody really knew what he was all about.

No thanks. I don't let others tell me the purpose and meaning of my

"Lost" is looking for that which does not exist, following those who
never existed, lead by those who know nothing but think they know
everything, becoming in the end, one who mistakes ignorance for
profundity.
I'm not lost, thank you.
The information you seek is there and it's easy to find.
It would be a sad day indeed if anything I needed could be found on a
sorry Christian web site.
It can answer a lot of life's questions.
Perhaps, but questions only a fool would ask, and answers only a child or
a man too timid to face the universe would believe.
Now, do us a favor and hit the road . . . with your head, hard and often.

The Bible is also perfectly clear on how Christians are suppose to
behave and act towards other people. Considering the behavior of
those here who claim the title "Christian," either they are wrong or
the Bible is. I see little Christian behavior and attitude among the
self-proclaimed Christians on this group.

I see - you don't care that you have done wrong. A little lacking in
the morals are we?
Is that how you follow your god's rules - totally ignore them, and
then disrespect him when he calls you on it?
Not exactly doing a good job of selling your religion, are you? Well,
er, it's even worse than that. You don't even seem to get your own
religion in the smallest way.
Maybe you might want to try actually reading that bible of yours. But
I'll warn you - actually reading the bible tends to make people
unbelievers.
Or you could just continue to spend all your afternoons trying
desperately to get someone to pay attention to you on usenet.

You enter an atheism newsgroup peddling your fucking bibleshit (against the

Typical theist arrogance at its best. But you're never TAUGHT how arrogant

Got some NEWS for YOU sparky! We're atheists BECAUSE we've READ your

It's nothing but fairy stories and the superstitions of middle eastern

It is a Christian based web site that has a LOT of good information
about Christanity and purpose.
If you are feeling lost or need just a little extra help finding
direction in your life, I invite you to look over that Web site.
The information you seek is there and it's easy to find.
It can answer a lot of life's questions.
Is one of them "Why the ***** are you posting this crap to alt.atheism?"
Why, actually, the answer to that question IS in there. Read it and
you'll know why.
And obviously you don't bother to follow the rules. Believe it or not
there are rules for posting on Usenet.
Proselytizing is expressly forbidden in Alt.Atheist. It can get your
ISP account canceled.
Instead try knocking on the doors of someone who doesn't think for
living to peddle your god.
Anybody stupid enough to proselytize in a.a is like somebody dumb enough to
fish in an empty pond.

I am a seeker after truth and purpose in my life and this web site
doesnt help.
It's a load of superstitious god crap.
It can answer a lot of life's questions.
Not for me it can't.

It can answer your questions if you haven't closed your mind to the
given answers. The answers to life the universe and everything is in
there. You must first overcome the "all you can believe in is what you
can see" thing. You must accept that there is a higher intelligence
than mankind and that, that intelligence cares about our futures.
