1) Revenge...If it was my daughter he killed, I would spend
the remainder of my time on earth and all my money to kill him.

Then you'd be found guilty of first degree murder and sentenced to death.

Maybe so, if it was his daughter, he might be willing to pay that price.
And, there is always the mental duress defense. I for one, would testify
that Mr. HVAC, being a brave American veteran and fine upstanding
American, was driven to his actions by the unbeivable grief of his loss
and the fact that far too often, the justice system fails the victims. So,
in his grief and anguish, he hunted down the ***** and did him in.

Yes. There was the case in LA where the kid's father waited in a
phone booth and shot the creep that molested his son as he was
being escorted to jail/court.
Verdict: Not Guilty
I don't believe in vigilantism, but there could come a time
when no amount of consequences would stop me from doing
the right thing and shooting someone down in cold blood.

How do you like HVAC now?

I wuv him..........

And I can tell you this, if I was in a situation where I needed someone
I could count on standing behind me, I would take HVAC over most of the

Drive through my town and get in a wreck. You're trapped, bleeding and ther
is the smell of gas around.
HVAC is right there watching.
Do you *KNOW* that he will crawl in and stop the bleeding?
Or that he even knows how?
I'd bet a nickel you'd pick someone who you knew could, would and has done
that.
Gosh, that would be me.

What the hell are you babbling about? How does a car accident in your

HVAC on my side than some wishy-washyy forked tongue liberal?

Not that I doubt he would be standing behind you.

You bet, and he would not "cut and and run", like some folk would. He
would finish the job.

P.S. to the last post.....
Before you get too caught up in this bizarre line of reasoning, ask
HVAC about the time he risked his own life, to save the lives of others.

I'm no bleeding heart by any means. I don't oppose the death penalty
out of any misplaced sense of sympathy for the criminal. I oppose it
because the system isn't perfect and innocent people *do* occasionally
get convicted.
And when that happens, who goes to bat for them? Who tries to right
the wrong? Betcha twenty bucks it isn't the pro-death penalty
conservatives.

That's a valid reason to question the DP. But, I would still rather have
Harlow standing behind me if I needed backup rather than most of the
liberal anti-DP folks I know! Most (not all) of them a rather phony
intellectual understanding of everything from brutal terrorism, to why
Johnnie slit grandma's thtoat for 20 bucks because he is "oppressed". One
told me he would oppose the death penalty even for terrorists who cut of
the live heads of victims! Why? Because "oppression" drove the terrorist
to do that! Give me Harlow backing me up anyday!

When the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals (Their state Supreme Court)
agrees to throw out a conviction (Andrea Yates), you know that a
miscarriage of justice has taken place. But hey, who cares if the
'shrink' faked it all.

So, if some man whose children were killed in Iraq by
trigger happy Americans joins the resistance to get
revenge, is that good or bad in the same sort of manner?
