What valid points? The treatment of prisoners at Gitmo is nothing like
that of the Nazi death camps or the Soviet Gulag.

It's obvious that reading comprehension really isn't one of your strong
suits Fred. Here's Sen. Durbin's words that you have taken such issue

which came after he read the description of the treatment of prisoners

No where does he "equate" gitmo to Nazi death camps or Soviet gulags. It

a subtle difference that you obviously cannot grasp. The question that
Durbin raises is valid. Would you have believed the US to be guilty of

kind of treatment of prisoners 2 or 4 years ago? If the situation were
reversed, I doubt that you would have any problem believing that the
treatment of prisoners described by Durbin had occured in the prison of

totalitarian regime. That was his point and it is valid.

So, a cocktail party is basically the same thing as being chained
naked to a concrete floor and left there, often covered in your own
urine and feces, sometimes for days at a time? Man, you must go to
some *strange* parties, Fred.

Muir was making fun of the more recent complaints about the
interrogation of "the 20th hijacker". You know, the ones about loud
music and hot and cold air conditioning and women "invading his
space".

And we don't really know the other side of Senator Turban's FBI
report, do we? *WHY* was that prisoner being given that sort of
treatment? Was he violent? Could he have been trying to fight
whenever they let him loose from the chains? These aren't exactly
pussycats we've got there at Gitmo, you know. They're trained
fighters.

Fred, the comic for June 15 has the line "Yeah, the full Guantanamo
'torture' set." in the second panel. I'm pretty sure that means he is
refering to the more recent news concerning that particular place.

And yes, I'm sure fully armed guards had to chain people naked to the
ground, *for their own safety*. Otherwise, the detainees would
obviously use their latent mutant powers to grow claws from their
hands and rip out their jailers throats -_- Honestly...
