Apparently, we atheists are considered the scum of the Earth.... |
.... below new immigrants, Muslims, and others many might consider
ne'er-do-wells (though I for one am not sure what all the fuss is about);
the actual question was along the lines of "which would you prefer your
daughter marry" and/or "which would be the most trustworthy".
(This was according to a radio news item, which presumably was filler
material for an otherwise idle minute or 90-second slot.)

Then there was the poll several years ago which indicated that only 37%
would vote for an atheist to be president.
