Object: Are atheists being mean to Gastrich?
Just a quick reference for some amusement:
http://www.jcsm.org/friends/index.php?topic=146.msg722#msg722
"The problem is twofold. First, there are no other Christians on the
list. I'm the only one and I'm beginning to grow weary because they're
ganging up on me."
"Next, their [_sic_] a bit nasty. They sometimes make personal attacks
or attack my background, education, credibility, etc. I generally call
them on it and they look unkind and a little silly . . ."
Obviously, having Gastrich tell us how someone else looks is
problematic, but still, given his imperious attitude toward others, and
atheists, in particularly, I found this public whine a tad amusing.

I never did find out if he prayed for me.
If so it didn't work as per John 14 and Mark 11.

Jesus spoke those words to disciples and the latter applies to the
impartation manifestation of faith to produce miracles. The
manifestaions of faith, gifts of healings, and miracles are
accomplished by disciples of Christ which is why so many "Christains"
do not get their desired results.

There are no Christians. The fictional Jesus character said so.

He'd probably be better at that than he has been as a minister.

He finally left alt.atheism, and

Fair enough. I was just wondering if anyone, here, was privvy to any
specifics. Obviously, we can never expect Gastrich to reveal them.

He has allegedly left all Usenet groups. He has not posted, at least as
himself, even on the group he started free.Christians, since he said he was
leaving.
I like to think I was partially responsible for this. I asked him some
questions about The Document Hypothesis and he responded with notes from an
intro bible class he had taken. I did make fun of the notes themselves, but
it was easy to do. http://www.jcsm.org/Education/OT_Orientation.htm
allegedly these are from an upper division or grad level class.
He reached a point where he denied I had asked the questions and several
people quoted my questions and his original response. He continued to deny
for a few days, then said he would answer them. 15 minutes later he again
posted saying I had never asked them.
That was his last post to me and one of his last posts on Usenet.

Yep. According to the archives, that was last April. Gastrich has
only posted spam in Usenet, under various new sign-ons, since then,
advertising his site. He has posted quite a bit in some Internet
message boards, including the Infidel Guy and at Internet Infidels, but
he's been pretty much over-matched at those, too.

Jason is an amusing fellow, he just does not realize how amusing he is.
His, "atheist prayer list" was indeed one of the funniest steps into the
absurd anyone could think of.
Then there is his inability to even come close to providing evidence for
this god he defends. (Why would an all powerful all knowing god need
puny humans to defend it anyway?)
And of course, his absurd notion that his mail order degree gives him
knowledge beyond that of more then 400 years of biblical scholars, with
real degrees.
Yes, all in all Jason Gasbag is a very funny fellow. Many of us in a.a
still giggle happily at his antics and stupidity.
( Not that we want him to come back of course :-D )

You're generous. Maybe a fifteen minute break if there wasn't anything
else to do.

Then again...I say that but we're still talking about it, right?
