I have a friend who's sister loves being pregnant. It seems being
pregnent releases some kind of endorphines (happy juice) that makes her
feel better when pregnant. She has 6 children, yet can barely feed
them.
If you believe in Darwinian forces, then after several generations such
"baby lovers" will increase in numbers. Birth control gives people a
choice that they didn't have before. Given a choice most have only one
or two kids. However, those with "baby lover" harmones will eventually
increase in numbers and be the dominate kind of people.
I am not worried about it, for it will be long after I am gone and
maybe we can move to the stars by then if we outgrow "Old Blue".
However, it seems innevitable that such will eventually be a noticable
force in population size.
Hmmm. I wonder if Morman and Catholic "genes" are spread this way and
on the increase.
