Army Files Cite Abuse of Afghans |
How soon before the LLL is out crying crocodile tears for those "poor
Afghani's". After 9/11, we had the right to use any means necessary to
fight Al queda and their hosts, the Taliban.

Army Files Cite Abuse of Afghans
Special Forces Unit Prompted Senior Officers' Complaints
Members of an Army Special Forces unit allegedly punched, slapped,
kicked and beat Afghan civilians in two villages southeast of the
capital of Kabul last May, prompting official complaints from two
senior Army psychological operations officers who were present and said
they witnessed the incidents.
The allegation is detailed in internal Army criminal files, released
yesterday, that also document other allegations of abuse in Afghanistan
as recent as last year. Previous abuse allegations have mostly
concerned U.S. military activities in Iraq in 2003; these documents
detail parallel conduct in Afghanistan in 2004.

You don't read well at all. The very passage you quote says "civilians," not
"al Qaeda" or "Taliban."

Well, I guess you must be a terrorist, then. If you have military
experience, it was Army, in the stockade, without a doubt.

No, abusing civilians does nothing more than drive up the enemy's
rolls. Treating locals with kindness and dignity, especially in the
wake of a group like the Taliban, is the way to gain allies.
In Vietnam, one of the best programs for fighting the Viet Cong was SF
providing aid to locals like the Hmong and Montenards. Green Berets
helped build damsn, provided medical aid, and never even asked about
the VC. In time, the locals began volunteering to aid the Americans,
since all the VC did was steal supplies and make threats.

IT was us, the LLL, that voted for the War on Terror! We also were the
one's who supported the invasion of Afghanistan, and said "stay the
course".
It was the Right-Wing Fascist NAZIS like you who decided to declare war
on Iraq, and removed needed troops in Afghanistan to Iraq and forget all
about the war on terrorism, so that Dubya could get revenge on Saddam!
WHAT AN IDIOT YOU ARE!

Funny thing. The terrorists also claim they have the "right to use any
means necessary."
