As predicted ***** Bush offers "prayers" for 80 thousand dead |

He's also forming a "coalition", probably largely consisting of no-bid
contractors like Halliburton, to milk...erm...I mean "respond" to the
crisis. Shucks, this natural disaster managed to kill more innocent
civilians than Bush did in Iraq. I bet he feels jealous.
His ignorance of the science involved is laughably on display as well.
He seems to think that a warning system would have helped sumatra when
the quake was 100 miles off the coast. It's quite unlikely that they
would have had any time to respond. It's also telling that he's not
making any specific commitment in dollar amounts to any kind of aid or
warning system, despite bringing the subject up. Likely he'll stiff
these folks, like he did his african AIDS program that he promptly
walked away from after it served its publicity purposes. It's too bad
that a natural disaster doesn't open a crack in the earth and drag Bush
down to his fiery doom. The world would probably only celebrate for one
month straight.

eradicate." -- Richard Dawkins

Yes, when you think about what one well-placed tornado in Crawford,
Texas could do for humanity. The people of Bam are still waiting for
the aid that was promised them. Of $1 billion pledged by various
countries, they've received $17 million. I imagine the 700 Club
receives more than that daily in their pay-for-prayer programs.
Oh well, I guess it feels good to go on TV and make promises and spew
the inevitable religious *****.

Maybe he'll send a legion of Catholic priests to "comfort" those poor
little children.

I guess when even you know that Kerry would do a better job, I don't
need to argue that point.

Yeah, go ahead and give President Kerry a call and see if he can help more.
