Atheism makes sense if you are sick of religious
fanaticism. Atheism is an extreme and would tend to counterbalance any
extreme religious outlook.
What do you say to an ethnocentric ashkenazi jew

god concepts to explain the unknown, help the society to
feel like a close knit group, control behavior and vilify
outsiders.
What does that have to do with the existence of any deity
outside of the imaginations of believers?
Alcoholics at an AA meeting have faith in a higher power.
Psychiatrists believe one drug is as good as another. AAA I mean AA
what would the world be like if we didn't make honest mistakes?

the gods caused and controlled nature according to that mythology, they
were NOT nature.

That's right, it's not. It was an attempt by primitive people to
explain a natural event. The god Zeus was not the event or nature,
according to the mythology, the god caused the event.

I went to elementary school with Lester Klein. Lester
Klein was so skinny that when they gave us kids mandatory shots
lester's arm was so thin that they had to take him aside and give iit
to him in the butt. Poor kid. So Al atheism means more than without
theism and you know it. It means no ruling god or God above the
sanctity of your own rational mind.
Now that I think about it, I guess you're right.

Charles Darwin wrote The Descent of Man. A banned book in the US for

science, can see that the purpose to the Biblical stories is to show
children there is a purpose and a reason to creation. No one can force
you to understand anything. Did Hitler in Germany in 1933 and Vladimir
Lenin in Russia in 1917 believe in those dumb Bible stories teaching
children moral lessons about the basic goodness of the Creator? Of
course not. What is God compared to politics in the hands of evil men?

You misspelled "uneducated". That a 4,000 year old myth makes a claim
doesn't make the claim true.

I always point to the webpage (I'm NOT going to look for it right now)
that explains what Santa Claus must do (travel something like 100,000
miles a second; spend 1.5 seconds in each house) in order to deliver all
gifts to every "good" Christian household with children, and the physics
involved (Santa would be pulverized; crushed flat under the g-forces
involved).
Yet, children all over the world still believe it because their parents
told them that Santa Claus exists.
Now, the difference between God and Santa Claus is that children are
eventually told that Santa isn't real.

Your ancestors had no name for god either, the first name they thought up,
once they had mastered a simple language, was 'Evil Spirits' as they
shivered in ignorance in simple shelters at night time, listening to
noises from the forest.
Later some enterprising human carved a god out of a piece of driftwood and
claimed it would chase away the evil spirits......
