My group in northern San Diego County, California, celebrates "Atheism
Day" one day each year. It's a happy, social event. It's a way for
atheists to find one another.
Last year, the day before the party, Channel 8 local news asked if the
media would be welcome, but since I was totally unprepared for that, I
had to turn them down. I won't turn them down this year.
We celebrate on the 4th Saturday of August every year:
