You're thinking of an encyclopedia.

Dictionaries don't give facts, they give definitions for words. You
have shown time and time again that you don't actually understand the
difference.

But definition should be based on facts. Its a fact that religion is
not a belief, therefore dictionary is wrong.

Wrong -- definitions are nothing to do with facts. It has nothing to do
with truth or lies, or con; It's just language: a format of communication.

If you don't want to talk about belief, don't use the word "theism". The
word "theism" in the code we use to communcate has the semantic value
"belief in a god or gods."

This is your whole problem. You can't understand the difference between
the meaning of a word and facts surrounding that word. A language can't be
wrong or right; It's just a code.

The word "fictional", for example, does not need feature in the definition
for "dragon" -- it's correct meaning is the same whether it's fairytale or
not. When the word is used in a children's book it cannot be
interchangable with the phrase "giant firebreating reptile" but not
"fictional giant firebreathing reptile".

If you say "religion is not a belief" you do 2 things to confuse us:

1. Contradict the definition -- the definition is just a man-made mapping
of words and ideas, not necessarily taken from reality.
2. Having done that, fail to tell us what the first word "religion"
*actually* means according to you, because you tell us it's a con but not
what it means; there's a difference.

That truly IS why you're having so much trouble communcating your idea;
Unless you address this you never will. With some concepts it's difficult,
but words like "theism" are very rigidly defined and have self-evident
meaning, and whether or not "theism is a belief" is not a debatable topic.

You could have started an intelligent thread with a meaningful title "Is
there really such a thing as theism [god-belief], and is there really any
point arguing about it?"...

...or whatever it is you really mean (we're still not sure).
