God made us free. We can do whatever we want. The commandments are
just good advice a good father gives to his children to make things
easier for them. We don't have to mind them, but sometimes, for not
doing it, the price we pay is a bit too high.

Explain to the raped and murdered child how God is a "good father".
It's
easier to believe there is no god than that such a monster created us.

God gave us intelligence and it is up to us to use to try to understand
some things.

You're assuming your conclusion. Please prove this god exists before

rape, mayhem, lies, bigotry, and false promises. A book that has been
used down through the centuries to justify more blood and more hate then
any thousand books put together. A book that believers pick and choose
what they want from, to fit their own deluded sense of importance and
arrogant self worth.

why would somebody write such a book to try to deceive a lot of people?
If you tried to deceive people, would you write that? It couldn't have
been to convince people to vote for him/them; in those times people did
not vote for their rulers. Could have it been to have a literary best
seller and make a bundle? They had not invented the press yet. and
couldn't have sold a lot of copies, besides hardly anyone knew how to
read. What was the purpose of writing the bible? It cannot have been
written by an idiot, among other things, there is in it great wisdom
and truth. The bible was written in very old languages and has been
translated again and again. How do you know the translations were
faithful?

Two: To answer your question you should really study up on church
history. It was written by a bunch of power hungry control freaks that
needed some stupid document to justify their lust for power. Even
today, that damnable book is used to justify massive amounts of hate,
blood, bigotry and yes, in some cases even murder.

We cannot blame the Bible for what some people do with it.

Sure I can, it's easy. If the damned thing had never been written, the
world would be a much happier place. If more people like me would
spread the knowledge that its a pile of crap, and people would listen,
we would be in a happier position as well.

And just to show you I am not limited in my disgust over the bible, the
same can be said about the koran, the vedas, and all sacred text that
have been used through out history to justify mans inhumanity to man.

As history clearly records, for more then 1600 years, it was a death
sentence to question that filthy book. And as you so clearly point
out, since most of the population of the time did not read, and the
church did what they could to keep people from reading, it was a simple
matter to threaten and control, using a collection of lies as justification.

You are right, people have done that. Even now, you know that in some
countries people can be killed if they renounce their faith or
critizice its leaders. But we cannot blame the Bible for this.
