Satire is dead. No, wait. I'm serious.
In another group, as well as in private, I've discussed the death
of satire... in the case of satirizing the religious lunatics, that is.
It's an old story. Myself or others will change our posting name
to something appropriately "Religious," adopt some outrageous
position & hope to score a few laughs from the others.
But it doesn't work that way. Not any more.
The problem is that the religious wankers have gotten so extreme,
so crazy that nothing we can say -- no matter how outrageous --
isn't already being said by them. No matter what we say -- no
matter how insane -- we will be taken for serious, because as
wild as we try to be the religious freaks are already far more
outrageous.
A good example is what follows. I had thought that this had done
a fairly decent job of satirizing the religious whack jobs. I was
taking their stated position and carrying it to its illogical conclusion,
something that always results in pure insanity. However, as I just
found out, instead of successful satire all I achieved was my latest
failure.

I hate to break it to you... but if you pay ANY attention at all,
you'll find that the courts in which the majority of judges/justices
are social liberals are the ones that DEFEND personal liberties.

You just come out and say it, just like that.
I've got news for you, sinner, a lot of us don't consider "Going to Hell"
as a "personal liberty."
It's you... you... LIBERALS and your ACTIVIST JUDGES who are
enforcing that "Separation of church & state," that "Religious Freedom."
In so doing you are denying countless souls a relationship with their God.
Many people have yet to hear The Word. Many others choose to ignore
it, condemning themselves to Hell for all eternity -- Atheists, Jews,
Catholics & Lutherans chief amongst them. Because of you LIBERALS
and your ACTIVISTS JUDGES, we Christians are powerless to help
them, powerless to stop them on the road to Satan and deliver them to
salvation.
I'm sorry, but I just don't believe in a "Right" to burn in Hell. I don't
believe that people have a "Right" to condemn their souls, and that
the government has any business helping them to burn, or protecting their
choice.
Government exists to HELP people, not push others away as they try to
SAVE people.
Maybe your conscience can carry the weight of all the millions of souls
who have perished in the lake of fire, but mine can not. Every day that
you LIBERALS and your... your... "Religious Freedom" is allowed to
exists is another day where Jews, Catholics, Lutherans and other fallen
souls are allowed to perish.
Think of it this way: The government supplies a fire department to
try and keep your home from burning down. If your home is so
important, shouldn't the wayward souls of Episcopalians be just as
important? It's a tragedy if their house should burn, but it's their "Right"
to cast their soul into the flaming pits of Hell for worshipping a false
religion?
You make no sense!
