What's the point? Parks, synagogues, churches, mosques, public toilets they
are waiting, constantly waiting... quietly in the shadows, waiting for you
to weaken then one Sunday morning you become aware that you are in a place

Or a bunch of them may bother you while your watching your favourite
television program.

issues and jargon.
It's true that arguments by atheists with theists seem to have little
effect, as if the theists "don't give a *****" about atheist arguments.

dicussing these things amongst themselves with much seriousness.

Most theists are known as Christians. Among Christians, good and bad is
judged with reference to the Teachings of Christ. Lacking god belief has no
direct relevance to a moral issue, because theists recognize that there are
different degrees and stations in a peoples state of belief, and what may
appear as a lack of belief is just a result of the shortcomings of their own
perception. They do not claim to know the extent of anyones lack of belief,
much less recognize what belief entails for anyone else. Therefore, those who
call themselves atheists are obviously fooling themselves trying to take
offence at something that was never done to them. Who is falsely accusing
the other? I would say that neither those who call themselves theists
nor those who call themselves atheists are right: the theists for not
recognizing Christ, and the atheist for taking the appearance of lack of
belief as an actual lack.

Depends on the religion. Some Christians want to place young earth
creationism into science books which is legit to oppose and ridicule.
I don't think one has to be ignorant though to believe in a God in the
sense that Spinoza did.

Only on this newsgroup -- otherwise there's nothing to discuss. Most
atheists never think twice about atheism.
You cannot just say anyone who is not a theist is therefore a
