Atheists are people too.

Never say die, atheist.
Why? Do you think atheists are, for some reason, afraid of dying?
LMAO. Man, you people are dumb... but really.
No, Lukas. It is not nice to say die to someone. That's all.
And yes, atheists, like all other people ARE afraid of dying.
Why? Going beyond instinctual behavior, there's nothing to fear, no
pain. You cease to exist. Nothing more, nothing less.
LOL! Ok, then.
It's the devout believers who are most likely to be afraid, since there is
this "god" dude that may either reward them or punish them by sending them
to an eternal torment in hell.
Atheists don't belief any of that. You die and that's it.
Now which sounds more frightening?
Personally I am more frightened by the whole 'ceasing to exist' thing.
However, no matter how much I like the idea of an afterlife it doesn't
make it any more real.

Why is it frightening? Isn't the prospect of possible eternal suffering a
wee bit more troublesome? Even if you do get the better deal, what would you
do in this "heaven" anyway?
At least ceasing to exist is painless. No memories (be it good *or* bad), no
pain, no nothing. And, IMO, a lot more meaningful and dignified than, say,
spending the rest of enternity living on. I mean, what's the point of that?
I am convinced people have no idea what they're wishing for. Eternal life is
a curse, not a blessing. All IMHO, naturally. And all purely academic...

I still maintain an eternity of plucking harps and sitting on clouds,
although dull, would probably be better than the great void of unbeing.
At least ceasing to exist is painless. No memories (be it good *or* bad), no
pain, no nothing. And, IMO, a lot more meaningful and dignified than, say,
spending the rest of enternity living on. I mean, what's the point of that?
Well, you would exist at least. Sure our experience of the afterlife
will be exactly the same as our experience of the 'beforelife' - IE
nothing, no pain, no light, no space, no time, no me, no mind, no
sensation, nothing. Isn't that just a little bit scary? The whole
reason that people wish for an 'afterlife' and invest so much of their
time and effort trying to ensure that they will have a pleasant
eternity is just because it is terrifying. Does that qualify as the
ultimate existential angst?
I am convinced people have no idea what they're wishing for. Eternal life is
a curse, not a blessing. All IMHO, naturally. And all purely academic...
Well of course the *afterlife* must be abso-flippin'-lutely wonderful,
because no-one has ever bothered to come back and tell us what's in
store for us. They must all be having a ball.

PDAs have a useful function in modern life.
Like what? For instance...
I drive a truck for a living. My PDA has several games for downtime
and the bus ride home. I can keep notes for the book I'm working on,
and write entries for my Live Journal for later uploading. I also
download a customized news stream to read during the day.
It also has contact information for friends and family, a calendar
function that reminds me of important dates, and I store schedules for
CalTrain and Santa Clara County's Valley Transit Authority (for the
lines I use regularly.)
Currently, it also holds my preliminary schedule for BayCon 2006,
where I'm a guest. I've set alarms to warn me 15 minutes in advance of
panels that I'm on or want to attend.

Oh, look. The ariel troll is back. Hi ariel troll.
Oh, come on Uncle Shi*... you dont have to pretend!
But thumbs up for labeling. Now, THAT was a cunning move, Uncle Shi*.
Anyway, here is another one for you to chew on:
The word 'atheist' consists of two words; a and theist. If we remove 'and',
what do we get; a theist.
A theist. Atheist. Theist. A Theist. Repeat after me... A theist. Atheist.
You see the pattern?
Good.
Ta-ta, Uncle Shi*.

What about those with the Skeptic's Annotated Bible on their PDA?
Cretins, of course.
Try reading the Skeptics Annotated Bible. Come on, it won't infect you.
Or are you really so insecure about your beliefs?
If "God" exists, en "he" is truly almighty, then surely nothing any human
ever says could possible be any thrreat, right?
So go ahead, read it, think about it, and then claim they are still
"cretins".

Maybe.

LMAO! No sceptic, atheist, theist, can shake me or my beliefs.

Says is one thing, does is another. Save your atheist theatrics for
someone else, ok?

They are. I don't even have to read it.

How does that in any way answer my question?

Do you enjoy displaying your ignorance? You get a kick out of it, obviously.
You are not fooling anyone but yourself, you know.

Na, cretins are those who keep writing articles about the SAB, shouting
"it's not so!" without any proper argumentation. It's fun to have their
articles on the PDA as well for a good laugh.

Atheists are people too.
With a PDA in their pocket, instead of Bible.
So what's the core claim here? Are atheists "theists too", or are they
people too?
The former you better have some good evidence for, the latter is naturally
true.
Just wondering you know.
