I looked on the Atheists Meetup site and found that there was no
Atheists Meetup for Amherst or Northampton--an area full of college
students, liberals, and, unfortunately, woo-woo.
The closest Meetup was in Springfield!
Well, no longer. I have just created an Atheists Meetup for Amherst.
The first meeting will be at Bart's in downtown Amherst. (You can get
there on the B43 bus from Northampton or Hadley, or the 38 bus from
South Amherst or South Hadley. You can park onstreet or in the Boltwood
Walk or Amherst Commons lots.)
It will be April 19th at 7pm, just like any other meetup, and is open
to atheists, agnostics, freethinkers, and deists of all backgrounds,
ages, and points of view.
Sign up at atheists.meetup.com (more location info is available there,
in case you're confused about how to get to Bart's) or just show up.
I anticipate a small gathering at first, but hopefully a friendly one.
