'I am getting out before it totally consumes me'
Cindy Sheehan, the so-called "Peace Mom" who gained national attention
protesting President Bush's Iraq war policy by remaining camped in a
ditch near his Crawford, Texas, ranch, has issued a resignation letter
as the face of the American anti-war movement.
"Good-bye America," Sheehan writes in her online diary, "you are not
the country that I love and I finally realized no matter how much I
sacrifice, I can't make you be that country unless you want it."
Sheehan says she came to her "heartbreaking conclusions" this Memorial
Day morning, saying, "These are not spur of the moment reflections,
but things I have been meditating on for about a year now."
I have endured a lot of smear and hatred since Casey was killed and
especially since I became the so-called "Face" of the American anti-
war movement. Especially since I renounced any tie I have remaining
with the Democratic Party, I have been further trashed on such
"liberal blogs" as the Democratic Underground. Being called an
"attention *****" and being told "good riddance" are some of the more
milder rebukes.
Sheehan's son, Casey, was among the American casualties in Iraq, and
Mrs. Sheehan, as WND exclusively reported, referred to the terrorists
fighting U.S. troops as "freedom fighters."

sympathy for Cindy Sheehan, she put herself in the position she is in.
I know families who lost sons and daughters in this war, and they
still support the troops and the fight in Iraq.
My heart goes out to ANYONE who loses a son or daughter, but also
remember..those sons and daughters signed up to serve their country.
On Memorial day, we honor those who sacrificed their lives, and we
don't use this day to disgrace the men and women in uniform, like some
do.
I am sorry for her loss. Her son didn't die for "nothing".

They are gaining strength every single day we are in Iraq and
Afghanistan. The Taliban are gaining popularity in Afghanistan when
compared to us.
Same in Iraq.
Christianity will lose this crusade for the same reasons it lost the
previous ones.

"attention *****", which isn't the same as "*****".
"Attention *****" is something totally different. And J Young is one,
btw.
As for Cindy Sheehan, this isn't the first time that J Young is
attacking her. Which tells a lot about his "decency"...
