Pro Wrestling is FAKE and has been since it started.
Some fans will claim to know it's fake when you reveal this secret but
logically, a person watching pro-wrestling even though they know it's fake
would be like an atheist going to church every Sunday as a "hobby".
Pro Wrestling is fake and it's sickening that this ***** has been
allowed to continue on TV for so long when it is so obvious if you have a
good IQ.

Damn, if you hadn't told me, I don't think I'd ever have figured it out for
myself, thanks a lot for the heads up.
Now, why don't you find something else to bleat about, that might make an
actual difference in the world, and ***** and moan about that.

It's not "fake," it's a scripted soap opera with stunt men and choreography.
The outcomes are predetermined, and rehearsed.
But yeah, it is pretty fucking stupid, and I continue to be astonished that
otherwise coherent people could actually watch it for more than a few
minutes.

I find it interesting that everyone who somehow suddenly has this
epiphany feels the need to SPREAD THE WORD. Do you go to department
stores and malls around Christmas time and loudly proclaim to the masses
that the jolly man in the red suit with the white beard is a fraud as
well?
As for the atheist analogy? A great many atheists seem to spend more
time researching religion in order to "defeat" it than ignoring it
altogether, so your point is moot.

Professional wrestling is "fake" in the same way as Aida, Swan Lake or
Hamlet is "fake". The question is- how well are the performers making
it look "real"? I have known that it was scripted since I became a fan
in the mid-60s. UFC and other MMA promotions are looked at
differently, and should be. That does not mean that a good pro
wrestling match is not good watching.

I have personally known people who thought it was real and would guess that
the following is just the tip of an iceberg.
"Lionel -- 12 years old and 170 pounds -- was doing the same moves his
favorite professional wrestlers perform on television, said attorney Jim
Lewis.
Wrestlers never get seriously injured when their opponents hit them, jump
on their chests or slam them to the ground, Lewis said. So how could Lionel
realize Tiffany would get hurt by similar moves? She suffered a fractured
skull, lacerated liver and 30 other injuries.
Lionel, now 13 and charged as an adult, faces a possible life sentence if
convicted of first-degree murder during a trial scheduled for this summer.
Lewis plans to tell jurors that Tiffany's death was not a crime, but a
horrible accident abetted by the professional wrestling associations, which
he says peddle violence without consequences to impressionable children.
"This is a kid who used poor judgment," Lewis said. "He didn't intend to
cause (Tiffany) any harm. He was playing. He was doing what he had seen on
television."
As pro wrestling exploded in popularity, Lionel's case was one of four in
1999 where pro wrestling was blamed or cited when one child beat to death
another.
<snip>
a.. In Yakima, Wash., a 12-year-old boy was convicted of second-degree
murder after he killed his 19-month-old cousin by repeatedly slamming him to
the ground. He used a move called the "jackknife power bomb," where the
wrestler lifts his opponent above his head and throws him down. When the boy
grew tired from throwing his cousin, he sat down and watched Brady Bunch
reruns.
b.. In Dallas, a 7-year-old boy ran across the room and struck his
3-year-old brother at the neck with his forearm -- a "clothesline" move he
had seen wrestlers perform numerous times. The 3-year-old fell back and
fatally struck his head. No charges were filed.
c.. In Warner Robins, Ga., a 4-year-old boy who was told to watch
wrestling tapes when his baby-sitter left him home with other young
children, fatally stomped a 15-month-old baby who had been left in a crib in
another room.

I have personally known people who thought it was real and would guess that
the following is just the tip of an iceberg.

No semi-intelligent adult, or teenager for that matter, believes it is
real. If you meet an adult that believes WWE is real, then you are
surely in the presence of someone with a developmental disorder.
You are right, Children have DIED due to someone (often other childern)
immitating professional wrestling, as they have from people (again,
usually other children) immitating things from movies, television, and
other forms of media, both scripted and unscripted. This is no
different than children that die in a fire they started after learning
to use matches and lighters after watching their parents. . . Just the
same as children have been killed by trying to drive their parents car,
playing with guns, taking pills, drinking alcohol. . all kinds of
things. .
The idea tha everything that can even remotely be considered a negative
influence on children should be banned is absurd. That would lead to a
VERY boring lifestyle for everyone.

suffered a fractured skull, lacerated liver and 30 other injuries.
Lionel, now 13 and charged as an adult, faces a possible life
sentence if convicted of first-degree murder during a trial
scheduled for this summer. Lewis plans to tell jurors that Tiffany's
death was not a crime, but a horrible accident abetted by the
professional wrestling associations, which he says peddle violence
without consequences to impressionable children. "This is a kid who
used poor judgment," Lewis said. "He didn't intend to cause
(Tiffany) any harm. He was playing. He was doing what he had seen on
television."
As pro wrestling exploded in popularity, Lionel's case was one of
four in 1999 where pro wrestling was blamed or cited when one child
beat to death another.
<snip>
a.. In Yakima, Wash., a 12-year-old boy was convicted of
second-degree murder after he killed his 19-month-old cousin by
repeatedly slamming him to the ground. He used a move called the
"jackknife power bomb," where the wrestler lifts his opponent above
his head and throws him down. When the boy grew tired from throwing
his cousin, he sat down and watched Brady Bunch reruns.
b.. In Dallas, a 7-year-old boy ran across the room and struck his
3-year-old brother at the neck with his forearm -- a "clothesline"
move he had seen wrestlers perform numerous times. The 3-year-old
fell back and fatally struck his head. No charges were filed.
c.. In Warner Robins, Ga., a 4-year-old boy who was told to watch
wrestling tapes when his baby-sitter left him home with other young
children, fatally stomped a 15-month-old baby who had been left in a
crib in another room.

All the examples you provided of people thinking it was
"real" involved children. Are you saying you only hang out with
children you pervert?

Nemoshit, still unable to format a comment, does not seem to be bothered by
the death of children as long as his sacred wrestling is not taken from him.

How clever.

I did make comments, just because you have a very low level of reading
comprehension doesn't lessen that fact. Nor does your attempt to use
a "red herring" by saying a person doesn't seem concerned about the
deaths of children because he ignored the ***** argument that was
attempted by including them in a discussion involving adults and what
they may or may not believe in. Children are impressionable and they
believe things are real when they shouldn't and it is up to their
parents to teach them the proper way. Children have been injured from
staff they see in movies and in sports. Your attempting to involve
them in this argument was nothing more than an attempt to play on
people's emotions and you're pissed because it didn't work. Plus your
remark about "as long as his sacred wrestling is not taken from him"
when nothing like that was suggest in this thread suggests you have
your own agenda and thus explains why you bought those examples into
this thread.
Point is that this thread concerned people aka adults who think
wrestling is real, and you claimed you knew some, and yet provided
nothing to prove that point other than to bring in examples of
children getting injured and killed. Those are examples of a lack of
parental supervisor more than anything else and those children could
have been injured trying out football moves as easily as if they were
trying wrestling.

I'm guessing you're a football fan.

HOLY ***** IT'S FAKE??????!!!!!!! I THOUGHT IT WAS REAL AND
STUFF!!!!!!!

Jesus christ, you are either a lurker who knows we've heard this

just a fucking moron. I go with the latter.

I have personally known people who thought it was real and would
guess that the following is just the tip of an iceberg.

Which suggests that you only associate with stupid people, which
also suggests some things about you..

Unable to actually make a comment on the subject, nemoshit, who
can't come up with his own clever little sayings uses an ad hominem
to divert attention.

Like you just did with the "nemoshit" comment? I could suggest you
practice what you preach, but I suspect you're incapable of doing so.
But if you must know, I have met many adults who watch wrestling, yet
I've never met one who believed it was true, which suggests that my
comment regarding yourself and who you associate with was very valid.

Nemoshit, who does not know the difference between an ad hominem argument
and being called a name reveals he is not familiar with why generalizing
from the particular is not a good idea.

"Lionel -- 12 years old and 170 pounds -- was doing the same moves
his favorite professional wrestlers perform on television, said
attorney Jim Lewis.
Wrestlers never get seriously injured when their opponents hit

Making comments on me does not address the issue at hand.
That children have died addresses the original comment that it should be
banned.

Well, it depends on what you mean by "fake". I think it's a carefully
choreographed stage presentation where people throw each other around
and hit each other, making the hits look "bigger" than they are. In
that sense, it's fake. Otherwise, it's real, as in people really get
banged up doing it.

I don't watch Pro wrestling but I have in the past. It's always been
scripted and choreographed. I can still admire the athletic ability of
someone who weighs 250lbs or so and can do backflips off the ringpost.
I've always compared pro wresting to stuntmen in the movies. It's a
dangerous profession and the better the athletic ability, the better they'll
look and the safer they'll be.
